Can anyone share their recent experience with the MGL spool and salt water? How are the spools holding up when used for inshore fishing?
Thanks-

Re: Equipment Related Pet Peeves
Cork handled rods with the shrink wrap still on to "protect" the cork. And zip tied reel. I mean, I get it, we all want our stuff to look brand new, but......

Re: Kistler KLX closest to old Kistler "APC" rods?
On a slight tangent.....I use my Mag2 6'9" rod as my "do it all rod". If I had one rod to grab, that'd be the one. I've sold off six rods because of it. Well, I've bought some other rods too.
My father in law has a couple of the old Kistler Mag and Helium LTA rods, and they're solid.

Re: St. Croix Avid X v's G. Loomis E6X
I'd tend to agree with the commenters here with the Avid X being the better selection. However, I do have the E6X Inshore 843c and compared to an Avid X M Mod rod, the Loomis felt better. Yes, the Avid X tip was lighter, but the Loomis' tip is seductive and oh so soft. I love my Avid X's but for ins...

Re: Poison Adrena Rods
I have the 6'10" and it's very nice. I was just at Neuse River Sportshop on Wednesday in North Carolina, and they had their Poison Adrena rods 50% off. Mostly the 6'6" M. They also had some Expride rods 50% off. Might be worth calling them if you're interested. I should have picked up one or two but...

Re: Add bearings to curado 70
I replaced the handle bushings with Boca bearing last night. There was a ton of grease packed in and the handles barely turned. This is a reel that has been cast, but not fished. Once I removed the bushings, cleaned out the grease, the handles turn better, but no where near what my Curado 200i handl...

Re: Zodias ML vs Adrena ML
Seconded.. The Adrena is way better. I have a Expride and my Adrena is a few notches better than that. And the Expride ain't no slouch. The Ci4+ is going to sit on that rod very well.

Re: Jackall poison adrena 610m
I just picked up the same rod (6'10"). I haven't fished it yet either, but was going to use it for maybe topwaters, small spinners, square crankbaits. It sure is light and the action is crisp. Looking to see what others have to say as well regarding this rod. I plan on using a Curado 200 I.
