Modern BFS reels are heavily orientated for stream use with little UL rods. For a ML BFS rod I would use an alde 30, any of the shallower MGL spool reels or shallower spool Air Brake Daiwas. I use a 2015 Alphas SV and a 2018 Engetsu on my ML BFS rods.

Same handle shaft diameter but a bigger nut. Daiwa is weird sometimes.

Maybe a L to ML Shimano sea bass offering? Those lengths in casting rods for tiny plugs are more common in salt rods. You might when find some inshore rods from domestic brands too.

If you're a collector of these old sticks then I'd day get it. Seems like a rare one and that price is Espada money.

Looks very similar to the F1.5 63xti Espada from the same era. Mine is more of a plug rod with more of a "stream rod" build than what I would consider BFS. The handle is too short and the rod bends down to the reel seat too much to be a BFS rod. While it's not a trout rod it's certainly not like an ...
