Refer to my post above. Mr Pao can get you an Air spool for your ballistic in red, purple or gold. You won't find one cheaper, not even a stock spool.

Re: T3 ballistic spool problem

Order an Air spool from Mr. Pao. He ordered one for my T3 Ballistic. $50 is a great price, which is cheaper than a new stock spool .

Re: T3 MX - Knocking Sound

Count how many times it knocks in the course of 1 full handle turn. If it's 6-8 times, it's the pinion gear. If it's 1 time, then it's the main gear. But I always replace both gears if I do find a gear problem. New gears don't like trying to mesh with worn-in gears, even if it's the same ratio.

Re: Daiwa SS SV and SS Air at TW

I'm shocked that they priced them pretty low compared to what their pricing was in the past. Sadly I don't think they will sell(particularly the SS Air) because America just isn't ready to embrace BFS yet. For all our sakes' here, let's hope that's the case. TW will drop the price drastically when ...

And if that materializes, I will have a couple of tricked-out Alphas and a PX68 for sale immediately after this reel is released. :big grin:

the deeper spool on the HLC sure is a welcoming feature for me.
Thanks for the info! Considering those drag-taxing barras you hook up to, I'm sure that deep spool is a great fit for you.

Re: Alphas AIR pictures

I would figure $300 tops, following Daiwa's standard M.O. $100 extra for a trick spool vs. the standard model. From what I can see, it's the same exact reel as the Alphas SV, with the frame being black vs. silver on the Air and the drag star being Zaion. Of course, they could have went with a hybrid...

From what I understood, they had a few disgruntled customers after the ported spools warped with 6# flouro wound on.

So if it's 32 mm, the Air spool should fit right into the pixy, correct?
