Re: Platinum Service
Well I had them serviced a couple years ago and installed carbontex drags, and It's just time now to have a more thorough servicing than just my routine maintenance. Was looking to have that done in December so I have them back for a late Jan. trip.

Re: Chronarch 50MG
50 Mg is one of the things Shimano did right and established a legendary reel. I have owned as many as 12 at one time and still have 9 with 2 brand new never out of the box. They are my every day reel and pair great with the Loomis BCR series and MBR series GLX rods. Just like feathers in your hand....

Re: Mend It
I've used Mend-It for several years and IMHO it is the best plastics repair stuff on the market. Use it for swimbaits, senkos, etc. Now that the maunfacturer has changed the bottle from plastic to glass with a brush it will last forever....well almost ! I have a bottle that is in my boat; been there...

Power Pro Hollow Braid
What is the largest leader you or others have been able to splice in the 40lb and then the 60 lb ? Conversely what is the smallest leader size that will work in the 40 and then the 60 ? I'll be doing this strictly for bass fishing and need to get an idea of what leader sizes will work in each for th...

Re: What should I throw on a SJR 844?
I have used a double leader when in bad rocks, 20 lb floro tied to lure and swivel and then 30 or 40 lb floro from braid to other side of swivelwith the weight and bead on this side.. People think this is too many knots but the saltwater guys tie a progression of knots all the time. You just have to...

Re: What should I throw on a SJR 844?
I would think 30 lb would be adequate for all but the narliest situations. I have 20 and 30 lb braid on most of my spinning outfits with a floro leader to match the conditions I'm fishing.

Re: CBR 845 suitable for 1/4 oz cranks??
As most of us have learned by now: how a particular rod performs for each individual can be totally different. The only way is to gage the comments here and then go with your best feel, get the rod and fish it.

Re: CBR 845 suitable for 1/4 oz cranks??
It's always been my experience with loomis crankbait rods that they fish about a half power less than their factory rating. That being said the bandits will be just fine on the 845 but you might be disappointed on how the rod handles the upper end of your baits.
