Re: micro flipping stick
its been done before but i would spiral wrap it so you use less guides which make it lighter and more sensitive.

Re: hydra ng rod blanks
i would like to see the input on different blanks and think it would be interesting. that aside i don't have super powers or anything but i can just about tell everything i need to know by shaking a blank. the first thing i notice is the weight and cement sticks need not apply. i guess the second is...

Re: hydra ng rod blanks
i am just trying to find out info about different blank weights without buying them all. if i pay for high modulus graphite the blank should be light and if the blank is lighter i try everything in my power to keep it that way. this means getting the smallest guides cutting down reelseats using the ...

Re: hydra ng rod blanks

Re: breaking hooks with strike king jigheads
the only reason i have been using them are because they said they used gamakatsu hooks. i do think they were defective if they were gammys. i think the reason i jumped so many fish on them is because of the hooks getting dulled since the jig has no weedguard.

breaking hooks with strike king jigheads
i have been using strike king football jigheads for my hula grubs the last few years because they look good and were reasonably priced and they have gamakatsu hooks. i broke a hook now and then on a stump but also lost alot of fish jumping especially on the 3/8 oz heads. last year i had major proble...

i've got the torzites
:D i've gotten my hands on some torzites and they feel light. the tkltg 16h weighs 1.4 grams or .050 oz. the tkltg 8h is 0.5 grams or .020 oz and the tkltg 5.5m is 0.1 gram or .005 oz which is the same as the tlgtt tip sz 4 with a 4.5 tube. the tkttg 4's weigh nothing according to my scale but 6 of ...

Re: light weight spin reelseat
i've just gotten a few and weighed them an aero 16 is .895 oz a pac bay minima is .715 oz and a fuji ips 16 is .690 oz. as for why i like lightweight rods call me eccentric but i buy the best i can afford in blanks and reels and they are usually the lightest weight so i build my rods in turn.
