Re: Best punch bait?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bs39yBN_t4M&list=UUDtrkUGlkeDfDrlBzIwv3yQ&index=1&feature=plcp Here's a recent vid of me fishing with the Slop Craw. After I changed the first time, I got 3 fish on that same bait I switched to. The vegetation has died down a lot but some spots still had some clumped ...

Re: 5" Jackall Sasuteki Craw
I'm actually the opposite, and not being sarcastic here... I don't like them at all. I bought a few packs and tried punching them. Maybe it's me but I much prefer the chigger and paca. I love the cover craw, but not the Sasuteki.

Re: Binsky - Blade Bait! WOW!!!!
Throwing a blade bait is one of my favorite techniques starting in late October throw spring. Basically 55* is when the action can start to as low as it goes. Here in the tidal rivers, 55* we pitch them around dock pilings in shallow water and just "blurp" them, if they are there they crush them. On...

Re: JB Custom "Baby Snake" rod opinions
I couldn't stand the grips on his rods. The guides are el cheapo's... I'd feel bad putting arguably one of the greatest reels ever made on a sub-mediocre rod? Well, I guess I'm a newbie at custom rods! But what do I know? I like the rod and I looked around and found similar customs going for a lot ...

Re: 2012 antares
I see your point...but most of these reels from the JDM market are already "tuned" vs USDM reels, or even lower end JDM reels. High performance mag settings, lighter spools, performance spools, different DC settings, different bearings, handles, drags, idler gear sets, ceramic pawls, etc...that is ...

Re: Frog rod ideas...
I'm just going to go back to an XBD. I just hope the new one's don't split at the air beam reel seat anymore. The new ones are currently on back order until May, but I'll be good until then, probably won't be topped out that early anyways.

Re: any more ballistic reviews?
I played with them at BPS, though no reel was mounted and I certainly didn't fish them... They were well balanced and actions seemed to be a bit crisp like on the zillions. They have high finishes, and are the typical Daiwa build quality. They were light, though had more weight then the steez line, ...

Re: Favorite Blade Bait
I totally forgot about the binsky when writing this. The binksy is also an amazing blade bait, very good vibration from minimum rod input. I still think the damiki is better though, but comparing prices to how long you'll own the bait before you trade it to the rock pile or log jam 20'+ down I guess...

Re: Frog rod ideas...
Though I would never buy another one, I went to Kistlers site to custom build a frog rod... $850!!!! And that wasn't even putting a name tag or any logo on the blank which could have added more $..... like usual, Trey's smoking crack

Re: Favorite Blade Bait
My Favorite is the Damiki, that thing is bad to the bone. Your barely, and I mean barely move the rod and it sends out straight throbbing vibrations. The finish is super realistic, however it will ware off pretty easily... I fish blade baits a ton from late october thru the early spring of the year....

Re: opinions on daiwa steez STZ601MFBA
Forgot to ask  Do you guys like the 6'7" size? Is it good for heavy jigs and 10" worms? I would think so, but I personally use rods in the 7' range or above for those type of techniques because of hook setting leverage with the added length. I am using the 6'7" a lot right now, as I use it fo...

Re: Frog rod ideas...
I use the Dobyns 735 & am very happy with it. The Savvy 735 comes in a lower price point - for frogs it is plenty of rod. Maybe check out the Zillion 7'4" swimbait rod. Same specs as the Steez. I haven't fished the Steez but I owned the Zil. I also store fished the two side by side. I think the Zil...

Re: opinions on daiwa steez STZ601MFBA
but compared to the 6'7"mh and the 7'mh it's no where near a mh in that regard, those are way more powerful blanks to me.
