Re: NRC001-M

Were there any reels you liked the SLP SV1000 in? I have the shallow version (basically a 105 or 1012 spool, I really wish they'd settle on a system for these numbers...) and as you might expect, it was great in the T3, the reel it was designed for. Of course, I think Magforce 3D means almost any s...

Re: NRC001-M

If you look at the inductor width on SS SV stock spool, it's quite wide. Compare it to the width of the Zpi Nrc001-m. Same goes for the SLP SV1000 and SV105 spools - bigger inductor. Then factor in the magnetic polarity of each different reel, and you really don't know what you might end up with. I...

I like the red, I've seen them with sky blue parts too and it looks pretty good.

Re: Budget TDZ builds

I'll probably do a Zaion dragstar and a Tutala handle. I gotta do 2 reels so I figured 50 bucks a reel to get em going and looking sweet is fair. Are there any good/value aftermarket options? Did you do anything to the tdz's yet? I have a project tdz as well and looking for ideas. I went with a tat...

Re: Tatula/cronos mlrb

Got the cronos today. Rod feels like it's going to be just what I wanted. Didn't realize it was rated 1/4-5/8 instead of 1/8-5/8 like the tatula elite and it does feel a little less like a noodle than the 691mlrb I have so I think it's going to workout great. Kind of feels more like a medium than a ...

Re: TD-Z swept handle and spool options

My other one has a Steez 103 spool in it and it casts really well, too. I do use braid almost exclusively, but I think it would define with other lines, too. I had 17# Sufix Siege mono on the Steez 103 spool and it did cast very well. The spool is still very controlled in a TDZ, because the magnets...

Re: TD-Z swept handle collar

No, mine has a G1 1012SV Steez spool. Have you used any other spools in it? It had a 1000sv spool in it when I bought it but I picked up a steez 103 r+ spool as well. I have a steez 105 limited spool in another tdz so I'm trying to figure out which spool to put in the tdz 103ml for 3/8 - 1/2 oz cra...

Re: TD-Z swept handle collar

Sometimes the washer on top of the drag spring washers have to be thinner cross or thicker to accommodate proper drag range. Sounds like you might need to locate a thinner washer in your case. Under my drag star there are 3 washers and the. The washer with spring in it for the drag. Just one of tho...

Re: Curado 200e7 or sv103

Shimano to me has always been a more "simple" design when it comes to assembly. Spool options is a plus for the SV103. The main downfall to the XS models is the levelwind pawls and wormshafts wear quick. Downfall for the E series Shimanos??? Man, thats a tough one. Honestly, my favorite of the seri...

Re: TD-Z swept handle collar

Here's mine. https://i.postimg.cc/xCHdYXZG/20190927-173040.jpg Very nice. I plan to change the knobs eventually but here is mine with a tatula handle I had laying around. I ended up getting the tatula type r star and tatula handle collar but it kinda feels like it doesn't losen the drag as much thi...

Re: Curado 200e7 or sv103

I like to have all the same make/model reels, so when I change I have the same casting/ winding feeling/grip. I would just get another one of what you prefer. Also easier from maintenance point of view. That makes sense, and that's one reason why I'm considering changing. Besides the type of breaki...

Re: Curado 200e7 or sv103

Just get the reel you want. You are only on this planet once, so dont live with any regrets. Worse comes to worse, you will have no issues selling the SV103 if you decide to get something else,. I agree with getting the reel I want instead of settling. I wasn't really clear I guess, I was rushing t...

Curado 200e7 or sv103

Hi, I'll keep it short. The monkey is bugging me again. I have all daiwa reels except one like new curado 200e7. I've been thinking about getting a second sv103 (in 7.9 since I have the 6.3). Should I just keep the curado? Or go all daiwa and get the sv103? (It's on a heavy rod that I use for frogs ...
