Re: Megabass Froggin Suggestion

I had a look just now at the F7-77X and it shows it's "telescopic" don't know if I could go for that one because of that. The SRD is out of the question. That F6.1/2-74XBJ Power Versatile you mentioned looks awesome and would like to hear more about it as to how it compares in power and weight to t...

Re: Megabass Froggin Suggestion

I've and use the "old" Destroyer (Phase 2) Randy Blaukat US Tour F7-77X (the "triple seven") 3/8-2oz 14-30lb for frogs, heavy cover and long-distance fishing from shore. It's like a long-type Super Destroyer, maybe more powerful too and with an awesome backbone.. it has a true fast taper. Now it's d...

Re: some Destroyer Phase3 - X7 - Black Jungle - X4.. advice!

The Super Destroyer spec is very consistent through the Megabass lineup, so the Phase 3 will behave similar to the Super Destroyer III. If it's in your budget, I'd opt for the F6-68X7 Super Rekkai out of that list. The X7 rods are impressive and just a tad bit more refined than the Phase 3 Destroye...

Re: some Destroyer Phase3 - X7 - Black Jungle - X4.. advice!

I fished the G-Ax for about 4 seasons. My best description would be go to the Disney movie that showed guys yanking tuna out of the ocean and into the boat in one smooth motion. I never thought a broomstick could have so much sensitivity. I would pitch 6" Yamamoto grubs into the salad, feel the bit...

Re: some Destroyer Phase3 - X7 - Black Jungle - X4.. advice!

Hi Mate, I can only help you regarding the Super Destroyer Phase 3. It is an awsome rod for power but I didn't find it quite as sensitive as the lads at TT did but that may be just opinion. Don't get me wrong, it is very sensitive but just not quite what I thought it would be. That being said it is...

some Destroyer Phase3 - X7 - Black Jungle - X4.. advice!

Hi men, I need true opinions from owners/retailers about some new rods I've not seen yet. I'm interested about: Destroyer Phase 3 - Super Destroyer Destroyer Phase 3 - G-Ax Destroyer Racing Condition - Super Destroyer Type-RC Destroyer X7 - Super Rekkai as jig and worm rod in heavy cover mainly. You...

Re: Megabass

I don't think that a 3oz F6 Megabass will be a good choice for finesse/ light jigging...i suggest you to try a Bearing Down that's ok also for jigging..or I've a Destroyer "Brigandage" and for me it's a perfect for 1/8-1/2oz texas rigs/jigs :D

Megabass Destroyer F7-77X (new model.."Record Breaker")

Hi! During last year i've used a lot the original F7-77X "Randy Blaukat" ("Triple Seven" for friends!!) and i've found it a very nice rod for heavy cover fishing (texas style, 3/8-3/4oz jig, frogs..), but i've also found it a little bit bad balanced.. Anyone have tried the new model called "Record B...

Re: Any reviews on Megabass Orochi F6-72X4 Destruction rod?

Hi! I've (since 2006) the "old" and a little more expensive OROCHI HUGE CUSTOM model (F6-72DG) and i can say that's an amazing rod: it's a very nice choice for bigbaits and hard swimbaits weighting 1/2-2.5oz but i've cast easily an over 3oz deps slide swimmer 175 too (88g) ;) it's a great choice for...
