I spooled some 1 lb crystal on a rod for ice fishing and have mixed feelings about it. It is very strong...much stronger than 1lb mono. I have a couple millionaire cvx 253's that are awesome for muskie fishing. I've broken a lot of other round reels throwing big baits all day. The Daiwa's hold up great.
