Re: 2015 Z-Bone LE XF
Yea, thats not even close to what I'd demand for the looks of a 500$ rod... Do i only buy for looks? Nope... but at about the 400-450 price range ( maybe lower) you're paying for looks, lightness etc.. Probably not a whole lot of performance gained from there and above. Kistler makes one ugly rod...

Re: Hedgehog studio bearings
I see... So would you say that the HHS ZR is a better bearing than the stock bearings that come in the metanium and chronarch ? I'm using it for general purpose rigs like worms and topwater etc. to me as long as it's smooth and quiet I'm good to go lol. Does HHS bearings come dry or do they already...

Re: Long term SVS vs VBS thoughts?
SVS INFINITY for sure. I never had a problem with VBS but I like the the fine tuning of the SVS . The "oil thing" is majorly overblown! It takes a matter of seconds to do and it lets you know when it needs it. I don't mind maintaining a reel, especially because I usually give them all a wipe down af...

Re: TSI 321 and OC hybrid abec 7
It's all I use, and I've been using it for over a year now. No problems at all, I fish a lot of brackish water and never had an issue. Dunk them, spin the bearings out... Good to go! ; )

I feel for him, those broomstick BPS sticks are pretty crappy. Glad he's got a Shimano to help ease the pain. ; )

Re: I ain't one to gossip - Jackson Rods!!!
Old school trick for 2 piece rod:
Take the male part of the rod (lol) and rub it along side your nose before inserting into the female end. The oil from your skin will help the rod from being hard to remove from the female end.
