Re: 3rd Place Manufacturer?

Based on my short experience with abu and lews I vote lews. I had revo sx and the cheapest lews, used them side by side and much preferred the lews.

I think you are probably right on the mark up. Think steez ct in US for over $700.

I'm happy with Wisconsin. 8-)
Eventually I will be happy in Wisconsin as well. Definitely my favorite. I’m a river rat and I can’t think of any other place with so many mid size rivers and creeks and so much access to them as Wisconsin.

Gortex is great. Only type of rain gear we used in the USMC infantry, and for a good reason.

Yep TTT has them too in Daiwa colors. Most aftermarket colors match except for the weird Daiwa purple so TTT is my source for those.

Evergreen phase

No one ever mentions these rods on this forum. Most models are sub $400 and made in Japan.
Wondering if anyone has any experience with them?

You usually include country of origin in reviews. Is Hakai made in Taiwan or China?
Seems like 'Made in Taiwan' is not allowed anymore? https://www.businessinsider.com/china-d ... ?r=US&IR=T
one of the reasons why I asked.

Hi Rando,

Appreciate the note and looks like I missed that in the matrix. I can confirm that the Hakai is made in China, and I've updated the matrix in the review.

Thanks,

Two different rods in my opinion not only for two very different techniques but given that weight range.
This and wet Maribou will be way way heavier than dry
