New Type of Line: Mono-Braid Hyrbid
http://www.fieldandstream.com/blogs/the-lateral-line/european-tackle-company-says-theyve-created-a-line-that-could-replace-braid Sounds like it has similar characteristics of braid such as very low stretch, but the smoothness of mono. They claim it has a third of the stretch that most monofilament l...

Re: couple of questions about the E
I just bought an E at one of your dealers. I have four ci-4 chronarchs I love but I'm very frustrated with the spools pitting issue, I bought a couple of metaniums but i'm also going to try your reel out to see how it performs vs. Here are my questions. I notice the new KE has a carbon crank and th...

Re: Shimano Curado 200/201 Spool Replacement Options?
You can tell from the spool. The old B series is the only Curado with the bearing on the spool shaft.raul wrote:Dude, which Curado generation ? B,C, D, E, G ?

Re: New Zillion - We want info!
Not for long.. There will probably be 5-10 variants of the zillion within a few years including (probably) megabass.IAY wrote:Correct me if I am wrong, but is the new zillion platform only featured as Morethan PE SV in the JDM market?

Re: How do you palm a baitcasting reel?
Usually 2 or 3 fingers in front of trigger depending on the reel and rod. I would prefer to have NO fingers in front of or behind the trigger -- that is NO trigger!! No trigger is the most comfortable of the bunch since it doesn't mash your fingers together after power fishing.

Re: Interesting video about left/right handed bc reels
I thought he very clearly demonstrated what I have tried to describe. A rightie with a leftie reel does in fact do a hand change from the right hand to the left hand on the handle so that they can shift their right hand grip to a palm. A rightie with a rightie reel has his left hand in the palming ...

Re: Different Rod Manufactures
I've used megabass, Croix, 13, fenwick, Abu, daiwa, Berkeley and probably some others I can't remember right now. The best I've used for the money are fenwick. The Croix rods feel heavy and tip rated and I think they are overpriced by a lot. 13 rods are nice but the actions of the casting models are...

Re: Interesting video about left/right handed bc reels
I don't buy it at all.. I switched all my reels to lefty a while back and I have not noticed any decrease in accuracy. I have never dropped the rod or had it slip out of hands due to holding lazily. I have not looked back at all. I hated switching hands because I am a very technical person so wastin...

You could probably use a ruler too.

Re: If you could have just one reel
I haven't used a ch 101d7, but for now it's the 50e or maybe 200e. I assume the 101d is sort of the best of both worlds. My third choice would be one of the new lews lite reels which look really nice.

Look cool, but most of their rods seem to be two piece.. A little disappointing.

Re: 832 breaking strength
Does anyone else think, like I do, that branding a line that breaks at 28 or 29lb, as being 10lb line, just plain wrong? What are they trying to prove? Why not brand it say 25lb and market it as a thinner braid than the competition? That's an interesting thought for sure. I'm sure there is a logica...

Re: Non specific rod for drop shoting
Have not used that rod, but from what I have heard they are stiffer than advertised.. I would recommend the fenwick elite tech smallmouth. Best rod I've ever used under $200, and I got it for $100. They make the 6'9" Medium power x-fast action in 2 piece, and it is perfect for small jigs and texas r...
