Re: nrx 842mbr casting
Some good info on the NRX mbr rods on page 6 (not sure how to post link on my iPhone). Woodt owns both and makes excellent comparisons. You could search for nrx mbr 842 and probably find it to.

Re: MBR842 flavor test
Man I was about to start a thread on this rod and now there are 2 threads today asking about it  Ill be watching these closely. I do know most Nrx rods I own are slightly softer action than their GLX counterparts. There was a good thread with some info on this rod and the 843 not long ago. Mayb...

Re: Tatula...curado killer?
Depends on your personal opinion of the reel. For me that would be no way. Might be better than the G series but if its uncomfortable to fish with, which seems like a common complaint, I won't be using it. It has quite a few striking similarities to a Curado anyways, except for the break system and ...

Re: new curado?
I think a lot of people got this email. Not sure what they use to choose who to send it to. I got it as well as a few others on here so far. Check the reels section, a few posts on this. I've ordered quite a few things directly from them so maybe that's it. Doesn't bother me though, I'll take the in...

Re: Custom Owner Hook Jig
Nice jig. Sweet hook. Looks great. Wish more jigs came with Owner hooks, they are so sharp and stay sharp. Have you used this hook before, wondering how good the hookup rate is w/the short shank. The Deep Throat hook is the best there is IMO but see the need for these short shank hooks on some jigs.

Re: Favorite Jerkbait NOT named LC or Megabass
Anyone tried the Academy H2O Jekshad? I have. It's labeled as a floating jerk bait, but it's definitely more of a suspending type. Pretty good action and it is a dead ringer for a 110. Best of all its $6! Does that lure have a weight transfer system? Rogues are nice but casting one leaves something...

Re: Parts numbers needed
If you have a local hobby shop that has r/c parts they may have what you need. They carry lots of these type small parts. Couldn't hurt to try.

Re: Do Micro Module gears require X-ship?
Never had an issue with gear durability at all either way, but I do love my MM gears in my Metanium. X-ship is just icing on the cake so to speak, my Chronarch CI4+ is just as smooth w/out the MM, because of the X-ship Im guessing. Thanks for all the replys Bantam

Re: Do Micro Module gears require X-ship?
I get the part about contact area of the teeth, but with the spool shaft going through the pinion into the handle side bearing, the pinion gear cannot really move at all.It may bind, but neither type of gear will fix that.I just dont see how it would be able to jump gear teeth.

Re: G.Loomis GLX Cranking Rods
I agree, 843 for sure. I use a cumara 7' M for cranks under 1/2oz like Aska 60,BDS 1 and Rc 1.5/0.5 and the 843 seems like it compares spec wise really good. I have the Glx 855 also and it works well for cranks around 1/2oz and above but I don't like to go much lighter on this one.

Re: fluoro. Leader
I tried Seaguar for a while going from red label to abrazx then tatsu all in 15lb and it worked ok but still had quite a few breakoffs. Then I switched to 14lb and 16 lb Toray superhard upgrade and will never look back for leader material. Stuff is almost bullitproof around the heavy timber and held...
