Need reel suggestions for Steez rods?
In the past I have only purchased $150 or less priced rods and $300 or less priced reels. Rods - Light and Toughs, S-Series, Iaconelli, Premiers, Mojo Bass, Pro-Z. Reels - Zillion 50th, Crazy Crankers, Sol, Advantage HSTA, TD-X, and Viento. I have recently been blessed with some great values that ha...

Re: Daiwa discontinuousness?!
looks like it, but not sure. I have both reels and love them. A little heavy though.

ABEC 9 Bearings
I read a ton of ABEC 5 and 7 bearing comments, but not a lot on ABEC 9. I thought I read somewhere that a lot of ABEC 9 bearings are fakes. Could be way off base there and if I am who sells 9's and are they that much better than 7 OC's?

Re: $300
Zillion Coastal because it feels more refined Chronarch. Handle length is better than the Premier. Just my opinion.

Anyone using McCoy Fluoro, Braid, or Copoly?
I found a few spools at a local tackle store for $2 a piece. Some kind of sample selection from the manufacturer. I wondered if anyone has used any of these lines and what are your thoughts?

Very stiff line with a lot of stretch. Not my favorite.

15lb or 20lb Trilene 100%. It is now my favorite fluorocarbon for pitching jigs and t-rigs.

Re: Luna 103 for Crankbait?
I too thought about either the Luna or the Crazy Cranker. I decided to go with the Crazy Cranker, in fact I bought 2. Have been happy ever since but Cabela's was selling the 103 about 6 months ago for about $150 a pop. I still wonder what could have been if I went with the Luna....
Re: Frog Rods
Stay away from the Mojo Bass Sloppin Frog unless you want a broomstick with guides and a reel seat. I have better luck with my Daiwa S-Series 7'6H. I am considering the L&T 7'4 frog rod though. I haven't held it yet but have heard good things about it.

Rem Oil- How often are you reapplying?
Anybody using Rem oil? I wanted to use it on my Browning Citori Reel (not shotgun) by BPS. It is extremely fast and I was wondering how often are you reapplying?
