Haven't considered anything from Sunline ever...
I got this spool of line as an extra throw in with a Steez that I purchased from a board member, so I am looking to see what all the hubbubb is all about.
I am sure that I will like it a lot.

The 103H Steez is a better comparison...
Price wise, the Met MG7...
But the Steez is IMO a more refined, precise, higher-end reel...and mine is smoother.
Can't lose with either one.

Re: Spooling on Sunline floro...
Thanx for the reply... It is Sunline Siglon Flourocarbon... Also, I am just wanting to try it in place of some 11lb Tectan Premium that I usually use on my Tournament Z-C 1500...it appears to me that the line diameter and suppleness is better than the Tectan I am currently using. The reel is used mo...

How'd the package get to her in the first place?
I always thought that one needed to have basic reading skills to hold a Gov't Job?
Wow, our Country's standards have really gone into the $h1tt3r!

I saw how a lot of fishermen wade in these backwaters (brackish?) for the Murray Cod...any incidents with Crocs while wade fishing?

Yep,
The 100 size sounds like the best option between the three.

Re: New calais 100 maintanance
Calais is smoother, better put together and much more solid frame/body. Finish is a higher grade IMO as well. The components are more precise and of higher calibre and more bearings (although this can be preference). Also, doesn't have the irritating side plate movement when the reel is grasped hard...

Re: Steez in possession!!!
brokeneye... Sorry man, I must have posted when you did since I didn't see your reply. I will keep you up to date on the reel and will try to be as fair in its debut and on going usage as all of my other reels. I as well feel that the Met MG7 and standard Met MG (2nd gen)/Core series are a little ov...

Re: NEW Daiwa Alphas
The Resolution is to have an available new Alphas in the 103 size with lighter weight/smaller spool...in addition to the new 153 size.
Otherwise, the 153 size/capacities/etc match up well to its weight.

Re: Baitcaster for soft jerkbaits?
TDZs line pickup will be better in the standard 6.3:1 as well. Pixy is a great all-around soft plastics reel for 1/8-3/8oz with stock drag...and really, with 3/8oz jigs and bigger plastics where larger gauge hooks are the norm, the stock Pixy drag is too light for good hooksets unless you run braid....

I don't think that you will bemoan the acquisition of the Steez in any form.

Re: Steez in possession!!!
Yeah, I know Cal... I just wanted to give some other reels a try since I have some TDZs already... Besides the Calais CL200 was for big SBs, but somehow I managed to get ahold of a Calcutta 100DC for a great price so it's job was taken. Also, the Calais replaced a D.R. tuned JDM Zillion standard rat...

Thanx for all of the replies...
Will try it this weekend tied directly to the jig with a SDJ knot...if it works, great, otherwise I will just go with some good floro line.
