Re: Finally, Phenix Debuts their K2 Sticks!

Do you have the models/specs for the RTS inshore rods?

Re: Daiwa's Beloved Alphas Gets Another Variant - SV

Good review, but did you accidentally leave out a chunk of the casting section?
Just says you tied on a light weight bait- no mention of how it did, casting, other baits, distances, compared to other reels/alphas, etc.

Re: The Next TWS Variant : Daiwa's Tatula HD

I would think the 100mm handle kind of mitigates the need for a 5.x speed gear ratio. 6.x with a 100mm handle should feel as powerful and similar in speed to a 5.x with a 90mm handle. A 5.x with a 100mm handle would essentially be a winch... which I guess could be useful for huge cranks and 5+ oz s...

Re: The Next TWS Variant : Daiwa's Tatula HD

Good review, and my thoughts exactly- where's the 5 speed model? I think you nailed it when saying this would be good for salt/inshore fish, where you need faster gears & large capacity. Looking forward to the (slightly) more interesting models in the morethan & tatula HLC, to see if they st...

Re: It's Name Is... Mini-Me, by S.O.B. & SpotstickerBaits

SOB hasn't always been spotsticker if I remember correctly. I believe it was last year that the man who started the company/made them passed away. Perhaps it was sold to spotsticker by the family? Looking at the website- I don't see hardly any of the colors/combinations that there used to be- partic...

Would love to hear how all the rods tested measured up to each other in sensitivity.

Re: Edge Rods Expands Their Product Offering

@Cal I know, I'm just messing around.
I figured I'd try to get some rod info/impressions from ya while I was at it 8-)

I like the type and orange & white lettering on it. Big fan of that. I can think of a few reels that would look sick on that rod... :)

Re: Edge Rods Expands Their Product Offering

Actually- I posted a thread about the subject of the article, not the article itself. We can split hairs on this all day. :D I posted in the rod discussion forum because... It's a rod. And I was looking for discussion & opinions. So since its just you & me here... Let's discuss the new Nicke...

Re: Edge Rods Expands Their Product Offering

The Black Widow already uses the highest quality blank and Ti-SiC guides. Are they just charging more now for a few more expensive guides and a fancier handle? I didn't want to comment on it, but... I like everything about the new rods better than the widow, except for the recoils. It it had all to...

Re: Edge Rods Expands Their Product Offering

Why did my post get moved from the rod section? Is it not applicable to that forum? I posted it there because that's where the bulk of the rod discussion is.

Re: Megabass of America's New Bait Introductions for 2014

The last 5 photos(minus the kossori shad 110) aren't working, can't get them to load on mobile or desktop. Also- how about that magdraft, great looking little paddletail! =P~ And the magnetic hook holders on the I slide are probably the best execution I've ever seen. =D> Big fan of mag hook holders....

Re: Don't be Fooled, Here's the Deal on Shimano's Exsence DC

Great review TT, been waiting to see this one. But given that it's basically a chronarch D + dc, it was pretty easy to figure it'd get high marks. :D I don't really care if it comes to the states or not, I just hope this isn't a 'one & done' reel. And as much as I prefer aluminum frame reels, I'...
