Re: Sold on Vision 110 but have question on Hooks?
That was my next question, will swapping to a different type of hook affect the suspending characteristics of the bait? Problem with the stock hooks is that, while available, its not like you can just walk into a bait shop and buy these hooks. I guess I'll just have to order some to have on hand, I...

Re: Do braid scissors work?
I agree....I think I mentioned it in the other post but the Bass Pro scissors were on sale for $.88 at my store. I bought 10 pair for the second time.matrix wrote:Questor wrote:They dont stay sharp forever

Re: Temple Fork Outfitters
Not trying to defend the TFO. Just the responses from my customers. I too think that the G.Loomis rods feel more crisp. I am a Daiwa and St. Croix guy myself. I hear ya...I've just seen guys that just get themselves convinced because of the name and because I don't think they really know what makes...

Re: Persistent problem with braid in spinning tackle
I have used many different braids, including Power Pro and Suffix and have never experienced or heard of this issue. My guess is also the reel.

Re: Do braid scissors work?
I think scissors are the best tools for cutting braid...They don't have to be labeled "braid scissors." They just need to be new/sharp.

Re: Sold on Vision 110 but have question on Hooks?
For replacement, you can call Megasbass USA. They are like $0.38 each. I stick with the Outbarbs so the balance is not changed on the bait. Same here and throw the bait mostly in 35-45 degree water with 6 and 8 lb. line. Changing hooks (if you want to pause the bait and suspend) requires a lot of t...

Re: favorite 10lb line non FC
I've bounced all around the mono landscape, and am currently fishing mostly Suffix Seige. Have not had any major issue with most name brands monos...some irritations here and there, but I have been fairly happy with Stren Original, most of the Trilene line-up, Maxima. I have heard great things about...

Re: Chronarch 50MG
Basically....to make it easy
Chronarch 50MG=Curado with a mangesium frame
Core=Chronarch with a magnesium frame
Some tweaks but, more or less, the case.

Re: Temple Fork Outfitters
I have no info on the weight but I have sold 3 of the 7' L spinning and the customers love them and even compare them to their G.Loomis rods and 2 guys say they prefer the TFO. My opinion is that this is head games that they must play with themselves...convincing themselves that they got a good dea...

Re: Need advice with Sluggo type baits
Its easiest on a spinning rod...so a braid or a braid w/leader would be best. Or a casting rod with fairly heavy line (take your pick, but braid and mono will float better. Keep the rod at about ten o'clock and give short quick snaps with some slack in the line...After a series of jerks, kill it...S...

Re: CHUCK'N ITOS
I throw them on a Loomis MBR 782 IMX....Did happen to throw them on the NRX 822 SYR...mostly because I bought the rods and the water was still 36 degrees and I wanted to catch fish on the rod.

Re: Question on the Elite Series.........
1. Jerry McKinnis is hinting that the fields may be shrunk even more and the guys should not take for granted the re-qualifying process in the future, jusat b/c they have money.
2. I won't mention names, but there is also a handful of "pay-to-play" guys on the FLW Tour...Zero qualifications.
