Cal, I'm wonder as to why you guys gave AG a free pass on their max brake result? AG advertise 20 lbs and TT only tested it to be a bit over 10lbs. What's the explanation? The thumb bar not engaging was a gen 3 issue. It seems like it was a common problem. Well maybe it was just a coincident but I don't even know that many people that personally ownes them and 4 of 6 people sent theirs in.

6'7 medium is what I use for flukes and jerkbaits. I always cast with two hands and the rod is long enough for me. Great rod but IMO for those two techniques you can get away with the Omen. My lineup is filled with Omens and the two Envys are for bottom contacts. If you can afford it though go for it.

I had the Phenix X10 and sold it. Now I have a Gloomis GL2 845cbr. The X10 was more sensitive IMO but not much more. The only thing I like more about the GL2 is the wild card. It probably does look better too if that matters to you. That GLX is looking very tempting but the cost is too much for me.

Has AG fixed the thumb bar issue on the gen 3's? I was going to get one but I know 4 people that sent their reels in so that turned me away. To AG's credit they did take care of the issues.
