Re: Pixy Handle Suggestions?

My Sol just came in the mail today \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ yes it fits, however at min drag position the straight drag star spokes will just touch the back of the smoke handle. Quantum just upped the price to $40 from $30 FYI the length is 88 or 89 mm depending on who's measuring, and by my hand it's notice...

Also Quantum handles will fit and the knobs are interchangeable. The Smoke handle has permanent bushings on ...

It does look like a great rod for 78's. It is rated as XF...is it really that fast? Close to BCR XF?

Yea, I thought they looked a little bit thicker. This should do me well, as the pike in my home lake absolutely crush bone/char shad walking baits.

Re: AlderbaranMG7 or MetaniumMG7

Thanks Phippy, Any idea where to get core gears from? I tried going on shimanousa.com but did not see anything there as far as gears go. Is it possible to change the core 6.2:1 to a 7:1? Do they make a 5:1 gear set that is compatible for core's? Wouldn't mind having a few slower core's for Depp cra...

Re: Knob Upgrade for Original Fuego 2500

Yea, I figured it would be darn near the cost of a reel in the classifieds. I really like the older Fuego, so I'll just have to keep my eyes open for a newer handle.

Thanks. 8-)

jm529 wrote:the only way to upgrade would be to switch out the whole handle assembly. the older red fuegos had fixed riveted non removable knobs.
Ahh. Thanks for the clarification. 8-)

That's what I'll have to do then. That cheap plastic knob really drives me nuts at times. Any suggestions?

Knob Upgrade for Original Fuego 2500

I use this reel as much as any of my other spinning reels, though I am not a fan of the original knob. Just curious what some of you have upgraded to?
