Re: Shimano rod warranty?
The problem is they were replacing broken rods, no questions asked. You can't keep replacing rods at $0 and expect to make money. St Croix has a lifetime warranty but they scrutinize all the rods that come in. Evidently, the can tell by the break if it was done from a defect or if the car door closed...

Re: Shimano rod warranty?
The one year warranty is why the Expride and Adrena rods weren't selling very good. It is hard to buy a rod at $500 and only have a one year warranty.
New Fuego
Are you guys happy with this new BC? I always liked the first edition. Price point is pretty good.

Re: Ballistic EX or SH
I use the Cabelas Verano which is their version of the Ballistic SH. They are a fine reel for the money and I prefer Daiwa over Shimano when it comes to spinning. Reels have been flawless for two years now.

Re: crankin reel
People say it doesn't, I think it does, especially on an easy roll cast. They are tough reels, too, so I think they're great for cranking. The 6.3 or 7.3 would suit the task well. If you reel righty, there's the low gear model to consider, but I don't feel like there's much utility outside of crank...

Re: Reeling Demographics... are you a righty or lefty
I cast left handed because I am and I reel with my right hand naturally. So the right hand baitcaster is made for me but whenever I get a spinning reel I need to change the handle over

Dobyns rod
Which Dobyns rod do you guys use for 3/8 oz spinnerbaits. I got a certificate for 40% off and don't know what to buy. Has to be under 7' baitcaster.

crankin reel
So for a technique I don't use often, what reel would you recommend for cranks? Nor do I want a reel over $150. I was thinking Tatula because of the cost and the T wing. Does it cast further than a conventional baitcaster?
