Re: 2021 steez ags rods
Hobey, the 852 was too fast but you do like the 872? I have handled both and they seemed very similar to me but maybe the plus is different. The 872 is slower. I feel that the blank is the almost the same, but the 872 adds a couple of more inches to the tip (rod flexes two inches further down the b...

Re: 2021 steez ags rods
What is the consensus on the spinning rods? I know the 76mml is legendary but how are the other two? Trying to decide If I want to sell my unused nrx852s and pick up a steez ags spin during BF or wait and see if megabass releases a new series soon and hope they have a rehash of the addermine Well, ...

Re: Higher-end Tatula 200 Replacement
Back to the subject at hand, is a Tatula 300 considered higher end??? I would assume there are round reels that would fit the requirements. The Lexa has 9 bearings, not sure where, it is a full spool shaft with no dual pinion support, right? I wouldn't say the Tat. 300 is high end it feels industri...

Re: Tranx update?
It appears there are quite a few in stock at TW and the ones that are OOS show early to mid-March replenishment dates. As for the Tranx reels being updated imminently, I was at Thorne Bros the other day getting my new JDM reels spooled up and we got to talking about muskie reels and there wasn't an...

How does this rod do on the low end of the lure rating?
Re: Bantam A
I ended up ordering one of these for a cranking reel. I needed something with cranking power and the infinity drive pushed me over the edge.

Re: Has everyone forgot the Shimano Chronarch is even a thing?
I think it's a hard market for Shimano to fill. Most tournament anglers who have 20+ combos are going for Stradic/Vanford and Curado reels. The enthusiast market is going straight to the Metaniums.

Get a Costco credit card and you can get 7 years of warranty on purchases like TVs and appliances. 2 years standard, 2 years extra because of the credit card, and you have to pay for the 3 year extension which is usually around $100. Well worth it.

Re: Evergreen International Dire Wolf Wild 7
The rod was finally delivered today after being stuck in Alaska for almost a week (FedEx has really gone downhill). The rod has a nice progressive regular taper to it. I think it will be great for 3/8-3/4 oz bladed jigs and larger top water.

Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!
Ok, I have read all I can find. What rod should I get for Ned rigs. I have a 902S and the Steez 7 6 MML. It would be between 821S and the 901S. Sensitivity and fun factors are most important. ' I have both of these rods and a 7’6 Steez. I would go with the 821 for all Neds under 1/4 oz. the 7’6 Ste...

Re: Evergreen SFX Cougar Elite 7GT
In 2022 spinning rods (typical Japan UL and L power) and “Giant Dire Wolf 611XXX” are coming too. 8-) I saw the Giant Dire Wolf, but I'm not sure how much demand there will be for a short big bait rod in the US. Most guys are fishing open water where longer casts are needed whereas it seems like in...

Re: Evergreen SFX Cougar Elite 7GT
ML-MH bottom contact it’s definitely the Black Raven Extreme. MH-XH look at the Rapid Gunner. That’s what those rods are designed for and both are works of art that you can fish with. If you’re hung up on certain lengths, get away from Evergreen. They design specific rods and don’t care if you want...
