Re: Jerkbait rod
While alot of guys will suggest an extra fast rod for this technique. I'll go against the grain and say something with a more moderate action will work better when fighting a fish and for also helping the jerk bait stay in place so to speak while not having to work as hard to do it.

Re: Spinning Rod Casting Question ?
8-12 inches is what i do, however you'll find a lot of it relates to how good the guide train is and what size spinning reel you have on much more so than bait casting equipment. This one area where a good custom rod usually shines.

Re: Phenix Production K2
The Blanks are really sensitive you just have to make sure to handle it properly. To many guys complain when a really high modulus rod breaks because they tried to boat flip a 5 lber or they accidently scratched it and wondered why it broke a week later.

I've always had luck using zoom trick worms, the tattle tail worm by gene lard works pretty nice as well.

I've always used horny toads and a single weighted hook, fish it all over florida and found no reason to change. Screw lock works great.

I haven't had any trouble with the stock hooks that come on them as they are very sharp and hold up well.

Re: G.Loomis/Shimano Spybait Rod
A parabolic graphite rod works great for the smaller spy bait i usually use braid with a 10 yard 6 lb. flouro leader and find i can get the same action as all flouro.

Re: Spiral Wrapped Jerk Bait rods
Agreed I fish all spiral wrapped rods and see no negatives to them. I have yet to find someone to back up there claims of negativity toward spiral wraps or find someone that can cast further with a similar on top setup.

Re: Reeling Demographics... are you a righty or lefty
I'm definitely surprised by the results, although I think that everyone should reel opposite of their dominant hand as I can't find the logic not to. Count me in on the RH dominant left hand reel crew.
