Re: Favorite paddletails?
The Keitech Swing Impact Fat is easily the best out there, but it's probably the priciest too. A few high quality knockoffs are out there. Re: Looking to upgrade: Megabass XX Flatside Special or Dobyns 705CB
I can't comment on the Flatside, but I own the Champion 705CB (graphite version, not a fan of glass rods). I absolutely love my 705CB. That rod will literally handle any moving bait I throw with it (topwater, swim jigs, chatter/spinner baits, squarebills, mid depth cranks, rattle traps, jerkbaits, e...

Orochi XX - Extreme Mission Type F - Do I need it?
I'm thinking about picking up an EMTF while the XX's are on clearance. I've already got a GLX 853C and an 803C and 854C in an IMX. So my question to you guys is do I need the EMTF, or is it going to pull the same duty as my other bottom contact rods? And as a follow up question, would an 852C give m...

Re: Daiwa TD Zillion HLC
I use mine for a frog reel. I get good distance and it handles quite well whenever skipping frogs under overhanging tree branches and docks.

Re: Curado K Levelwind Bearing
That's what I was expecting but I wanted to make sure. I'm guessing you've already done a few of these Rock. I haven't taken the knobs off any of my K's yet. Is the factory configuration 1 bearing and 1 bushing on the knobs? On the 200K, it's two bushings per knob unfortunately. You'll need 5 total...

Curado K Levelwind Bearing
Does anyone know what size bearing I need for the levelwind on a Curado K? Or better yet, is it the same size bearing that the Ch/Met MGL uses?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I haven't heard anything about this. Doesn't make it not true, but it's news to me.

853 or 854? Finesse Jigs.
I'm looking for a new finesse jig rod (3/16, 1/4, 5/16oz) and I'm debating between the 853 and 854. Which do you GLoomis guys feel is best suited for this application?

Re: Rods without a hook keeper
My Zodias and Expride don't have hook keepers and it is rather annoying, but other than that I really like both of those rods. I make do by hooking onto my reel.

Re: Spybaiting - who's been successful with it?
We had a tournament on Erie the weekend after KVD won with it. My tournament partner tried throwing it after I started catching them on a dropshot and he couldn't get bit. He proceeded to catch 3 drum while I kept sticking them on a drop shot.
