Re: Cranking rod help
If you're willing to go straight graphite the F4-70GTZ is a nice one too. I love mine. It's got a nice soft action that's good at keeping those hooks pinned tight. Plus it's just a fun rod to throw.

Craw similar to the Rage Lobster
We've had a lot of success with the Rage Lobster, but we're starting to have trouble finding the colors we like to use. Not sure if Strike King is cutting back the selection or getting rid of it altogether. We've done ok on the smaller craw, but we'd like to find something with the size profile of t...

Re: Pepper Custom Baits Commando bladed jig
Let me know what you think about the Pepper Custom Baits model after you get some time in with it. Those weedless models work great around pads! Looks like a good one but not sure about the blade attachment. The models that have a wire or split ring attachment never seem to run as good as ones that...

Re: F3-610DGS - Best ever?
jpangler has the x7's and evoluzions for about half of what they are stateside... since you dont seem to have too much of a problem without a warranty, and if you can wait till they have the rod you want in stock, it would be an option. i have only used 1 megabass rod, the orochi xx drop shot rod, ...

Re: Pepper Custom Baits Commando bladed jig
D&M Baby Beast is the best bladed jig I have ever fished. We fish a lot of grass and they are extremely weedless and never lose fish on the Owner hook. Been buying a bunch of them since they are going away. The original Pirahna is better than the new one but its still a good jig. A lot more erratic...

Pepper Custom Baits Commando bladed jig
Bought one of these for fall fishing and only got to throw it once before a nasty cold snap ruined the shad migration. I picked it out of the one TW had cos I liked the free swinging hook and because it came with a feathered trebel hook and a swimbait trailer. Anybody had any success on this one? I'...

Re: Luck Craft Real BG
I just saw these not too long ago and I thought they looked pretty good. I was on a dedicated swimbait forum the other day and there was a thread about em and Matt from MattLures said he was not impressed with it from a video he watched. However, I've read stuff that said they've been catching fish ...

I'd be interested to hear as well. I've been looking for some smaller baits to try out.

Re: Your gotta have big swimbaits
Thanks for all the input guys. Gonna try and snag a few of these over the next couple of months and hopefully catch a big girl or two when it warms up.

Re: F3-610DGS - Best ever?
I wouldn't mind that rod.. I'd be more that happy with any of the rods I posted pics of. A swimbait rod is next on my list, but after that it's Hello! spinning rod. Gonna try and narrow down the want list between now and then and hopefully I'll be able to find the one I decide on. It'll probably be...

Re: How many combos do you guys have
Fished with my buddy's stuff for the first year til I figured out I liked it enough to stick with it. Bought my first reel in September and my first rod back sometime Oct/Nov. Now I've got three combos plus I'm still fishing one of my buddy's sticks. Hopefully by the time it warms up I'll have added...

Re: Jerkbait Rod question
Here recently I was lucky enough to score a F4-70GTZ Tomahawk which is all graphite. I've used it the last few times out for throwing jerks and I really like it. In the past I always used a MH rod and I like the feel of the lighter stick way better. I don't know if that's because it's a designed cra...

F3-610DGS - Best ever?
:big grin: Figured that thread title might grab some attention. Thought it might make for some interesting wintertime conversation if y'all would chime in with your opinions on what you think is the best MB spinning rod of all time. I know that's extremely subjective, but so is most everything else ...
