I still use them. I prefer the slower ratio for a variety of techniques. I have a Met. XG which is 8.5:1, buts only for jigs and frogs. 99% of my fishing is done within 6.2- 7.4 gear ratio.

I own both a Dawia 6.3 SV103 and four '13 Shimano Metaniums. I have only used the Daiwa a few times so far as I got it over the winter and its still relatively new to me, but I still prefer my Metaniums. Its the perfect reel to me.

For what it's worth I've been fishing the 110's for probably 15 years and never had an issue with catch ratio on the no barb middle treble. I did once impale myself on that middle treble and was very very happy that it didn't have barbs :big grin: I do always fish it with a split ring on the nose. ...

I recently bought two baits in a JDM color from an e-tailer online. Neither came with a split ring on the nose. I double checked their image of that bait/color on the site and it doesn't show a split ring on the nose. I didn't notice if the middle hooks had barbs but I know on the original straight...

I bought 5 MB vision 110's from Japan and while inspecting them, I immediately noticed that they are missing the line tie split ring and the center treble does not have any barbs. Can anyone confirm that this is correct? Other wise, they are 100% good.

I'm looking to buy some SX1 for a stradic Ci4+ 4000XG my cousin just bought. There is no conversion chart showing the diameter of the braid. I'm looking for an 8lb or 10lb fluoro diameter equivalent. Would the 16lb SX1 be good?
