Re: Daiwa Project T 2020

I'd really like to hear what the haters actually want out of daiwa ? :-k It seems we have some keyboard commando engineers among us... Not one of the commandos...if it does not interest me... I just use what I have, till they come out with one that interests me. Right now... I have a interest in th...

Re: Daiwa Project T 2020

I have a couple of ZPI spools in the OG Tatula SV reels and I will tell you that the ZPI spools are great in the CT SV Platform. So much so that I have been trying to source spacers to allow the SV 32mm spools to be used in the current 100/Elite frame which accepts a 33mm spool. The main reason is ...

https://youtu.be/jRw_USlFJNM Yay more spiders... Well at least they didn't say if it wasn't 10:1 i would've missed the fish... Its meme-worthy to joke about, I joked about it too. I have been and have seen situations where a fast reel is the difference. Jumping out the most to me was when my buddy ...

Re: 2020 Zillion 10

The project T 2020 post has gotten away from the discussion on this reel and even swayed into rods on the reel section of Tackle. So decided this belonged here. Guessing you will be able to get from Japan by year end. USDM will most likely be a Feb/March release. Really hoping the USDM release inclu...

Re: Daiwa Project T 2020

Traditionally... “Air” reels are JDM only.

And $100 more for the Zillion 10 over the current Zillion SV ... maybe a price increase coming on USDM reels ?

Re: 2020 Zillion 10

I'm not feeling this one... yet. It just seems that they updated the old frame with the zero adjuster, new paint job/cosmetics, and the recessed brake dial side plate. None of those things are bad, I just wish they had maybe used a newer frame, like the Steez A. Would love to eventually see an alum...

Can you guys provide a picture of link to the specific Techna AV models you're referring to?

They have not been Mfg in over 10 years.

See link above on the reintroduced updated version with 3M power lux.

They look almost exactly the same as the original.

Re: Where have all the Full handle Rods Gone

Fenwick re introduced their Techna AV series as the Techna PX series with 3M Powerlux resin. These are full handle cork rods. The Techna AV was the best line of rods ever made by Fenwick in the early 2000-2007 time period and were very popular amongst the BASS/FLW pros during that time.and the first...

Re: 105 SV vs 103 SV spool

Would putting a 103 SV spool into a Steez LTD SV 105XH 8.1 be defeating the purpose of the reel? I'm damn near spooling the reel with 22lb Defier Armillo and an Evergreen Justine 95. I really don't want to bring one reel for a Justine 95 or One's Bug and another outfit just for the 115 size baits. ...

Re: New Daiwa BLX rods?

They are a high $ rod priced at same price as the Steez XT. Problem is 5 year warranty vs lifetime on the Steez XT as well as the zillion. With no Zillion available... as of right now... curious what the replacement will be. Hard to believe it would be the BLX. Not exactly. The Steez XT retailed fo...
