Re: Zillion sv TW 1000

With a listed capacity of 90 yards of 14 pound I think this 34mm is gonna be narrower than the Steez/zillion spools of the past.

I'm still thinking it's more in line with the size of a Steez CT with a larger diameter spool, hence the 1000 instead of 700.

Re: Zillion sv TW 1000

To me it looks like a larger Steez CT.
It would look good on a Tatula Elite rod

Re: light side of 7' m/mh tatula elite?

I have two of them and love them. I throw 3 inch tubes with 1/8 ounce heads a lot, and also 1/8 ounce of 3/16 jigs with trailers for winter river smallmouth. I've also fished 4 inch worms with 1/16 ounce shakey heads for spots with them and it's also good with heavier baits like a weightless 5 inch ...

Re: Tat Elite vs Zillion SV

If you like the Tatula 100 give the Elite long cast a try. I know it's more money but the lighter spool and aluminum sideplate are worth the price of admission. I put a couple bearings on the levelwind and I swear that thing is smooth as silk and will definitely outcast a 100.

Re: Daiwa tatula sv / tatula costal sv spool?

Any rays studio spool that will fit any of the Tatula variants that use the 34 mm spool will also fit the new coastal 150. There are several variations of the Rays Studio spools so posting one link is impractical, however the spool that is pictured a couple posts above may be one of those. I would a...

Re: Daiwa tatula sv / tatula costal sv spool?

I literally just received a Rays Studio Spool for a Tatula CT/100/elite today. To fit the 34 mm spool that would include the new blue coastal SV 150. It measures 33.84 mm so it conforms to the desired spec with little gap and mirrors the measurement of the stock spool it will replace. It does have t...

Re: Daiwa tatula sv / tatula costal sv spool?

Be careful if you go to a spool made in China. I ordered one off of an auction site that was cheap at like 16.00 shipped but it is 33.3 mm and there is still enough gap for fine braid to get through. From what I have seen on youtube Rays Studio spools tend to follow the Daiwa tolerance of 0.3 mm or ...

Re: Daiwa tatula sv / tatula costal sv spool?

The new blue coastal sv has the same frame as the tatula 100 and tatula elite. Any spool that will fit a Tatula CT, 2019 Tatula 100 or a Tatula Elite will fit that reel. The opening for the spool is 34 mm and daiwa typically undersizes the spools about 0.2 mm to allow for proper clearance. The origi...

Re: Daiwa Project T 2020

It certainly appears that the new 2020 Tatula SV 103 is coming to the USA. A new video out on Youtube today with Brent Ehrler and Cody Meyer promoting the new reel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4nKSmKrqKY Edit I see now that Gary at the Tackletrap has posted accepting Pre-orders for February del...

Re: Daiwa Project T 2020

PX type R which was basically identical to the PX-R except for color, was sold in the US. I think in general the US market has yet to see the benefit of going smaller and lighter. Most US anglers want to throw larger baits with heavier line than the anglers in Japan.

Re: Daiwa Project T 2020

I have a couple of ZPI spools in the OG Tatula SV reels and I will tell you that the ZPI spools are great in the CT SV Platform. So much so that I have been trying to source spacers to allow the SV 33mm spools to be used in the current 100/Elite frame which accepts a 34mm spool. The main reason is I...

Re: New Tatula Elite Reel

No one Ive heard mention this reel has used the term SV, thats what I actually hoped they would do so you could put a ZPI Tat SV spool in a 100.
