Re: New Tatula Elite Reel
Sources indicate that there will be two version of the Tatula Elite reel. The one pictured for normal use, and one with a shallower spool design for pitching. To be released at ICast.

Re: ZPi spool for the Tat SV TW, who has used one?
The real deal with the lighter spools is the ease with which they can pitch smaller baits. I fish the New river from the bank a lot in winter and the more I think about it, that's what really makes theses spools work for me. It's not so much about the distance of a regular cast, it's about pitching ...

Re: ZPi spool for the Tat SV TW, who has used one?
I have both the M and PG versions of the spool. A red M in a 7.1 and a purple PG in a 8.1. The SV spool is great for all around fishing but I typically prefer the lightest possible spool for my style of fishing, which is throwing relatively light baits using small diameter braid for river small mout...

Re: New Tatula100
This new version was released at the Classic today. I was told only a couple 1000 of these to be made. Guys at the Tackle Trap have them for sale at Expo.

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw
That is absolutely, positively, the most ridiculous thing I've have ever seen from Daiwa USA. How in the Wide World of Sports do they think they can market this reel in the US at that price when it's basically the same price point as a Steez SV TW in Japan. The US SV TW went up $50 for tariffs, OK b...

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw
The Steez CT will be released at the Expo at the Bassmaster Classic according to my sources. I did not ask about the Alphas CT or if there would be any other new additions. I would hope that they come out with a Tatula 100 with a SV spool at some point. I like the ergonomics better and already have ...

Re: Megabass levante
Well I ended up catching a few 1 pounders and the rod performed well. I would say the sensitivity is about what one would expect for a rod in this price point. The balance point is about 3/4 inch in front of the reel locking nut with a tatula sv reel and it does not feel tip heavy. Overall I think t...

Re: Megabass levante
Just picked up a Diablo Spec R to try out. Gonna see if I can catch something on it this evening. Overall I would say that it looks like a much more expensive rod given the nice reel seat and appointments. The first couple of guides are a little on the large size for my tastes but that is a small de...

Re: Wanting to customize Tat SV
Just be aware that the hedgehog and zpi purple is a shade different than daiwa purple on the tat already. If the two colors aren't right against one another it's not as noticeable but if side by side it is very noticeable. For that reason I just did the screws and levelwind cap to go along with the ...

Re: Wanting to customize Tat SV
Agree with the suggestions about Hedgehog studios.....they even have the zpi spools for the sv and I have a 8.1 decked out in purple and a 7.1 decked out in red both with zpi spools.

Re: Nanobraid, Gliss opinions
I have been using Gliss almost exclusively for the last several winter smallmouth seasons. It is absolutely true that it has poor abrasion resistance so the use of a leader is mandatory. I normally use 24 lb with a 10 lb sniper leader about 7 feet long secured with a FG knot. Even though the line ha...

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw
At one point in this YouTube video from plat they produce a Steez A SV TWS and hold it up to compare the difference in size.
The Steez CT is considerably smaller in size.
