I have a custom made sc3 70mlf

2 factory SCV 70mlf

1 factory scv 70 LF

The 7-0 mlf's have been my go to dropshot, Ned rig, and all round finesse rods. I have not fished a ml xf st, Croix though to compare.
Thanks for the info!

Re: Rod Geeks?

I fish a lot of Ned rig stuff. The St. Croix ML power rod is my favorite. I do have a light action as well, but I only use that for REALLY light heads. 1/20, 1/16 all get thrown on the ML. Lighter than that, maybe the L power rod. My L power rod is usually reserved for a 1/64 oz head and weightless...

Re: Rod Geeks?

Bringing back an old thread. Was looking at their C470LF blank 7' 4-8 lbs 1/16-1/4 oz for NED rigs Or just going with the top end St Croix SCV70MFb 7' 6-12lb 3/16-5/8 oz Any thoughts or opinions? Planning to use 10lb braid, and 7lb fluoro leader for lighter Neds If it were me, I'd go with the rodge...

Re: How Do You Keep Your Fishing Closet Organized?

I use to have a fishing "closet," that eventually became a fishing room. Then I started doing saltwater as well, and now I have a partial fishing garage as well. I have boxes and boxes of lures in cabinets, racks that are mounted above my desk. Another wall rack with rods that don't have reels on th...

Re: BFS Travel Rods?

Greetings. I just pre-ordered the MB TRIZA F0-63XTZ Aello - supposed to be here end June but we'll see. In the meantime I'm thinking that it might actually be on the lighter end of what I'm looking for. What other travel/multi piece BFS do you guys like? Check out Majorcraft, they had a Go Emotion ...

I understand the law of diminishing returns, but for this price range I was expecting for more.

I'll stick to JDM, and for technique specific stuff my NRXs.

Nice review, it helped me save some coin for once!

The 50th is still one of my favorite reels. After a few upgrades from stock, it is nearly bulletproof and stunning.

I use a late 80s pistol grip set-up to chuck spinnerbaits and paddletails in tight quarters. Also has sentimental value.
