I think Megabass still makes them, but they are the new, improved version, and they are not as big as the Pupfish.

It was similar to their Dog X, but a 9" version.

Re: How much line do I really need for swimbaits?
The only other thing to consider is how often your retie, and how much line you cut off each time. Throwing heavy swimbaits stresses the first three feet of line on each cast, so, if you're not using braid, you should cut at least that much off when you retie. It doesn't sound like a lot, but it add...

Re: T3 Users Club Feedback
I have a T3 1016 and a T3B XS. Both reels have been upgraded to 11 bearings which for the Ballistic made a big difference. I really have nothing bad to say about these reels, I have had issues with passing a leader through the T-Wing but that could just be me and I could just use a shorter leader. ...

These Popmax knockoffs work. Scroll down to see them: http://www.predatorbassbaits.com/id69.html I'm too cheap to buy a $20 piece of plastic. Wow they say "similar" on the site but it looks like they straight just made molds using original Megabass and Lucky Craft lures. It's one thing to mimic or ...

Re: No more Lifetime Warranty- Shimano Rods
Since Shimano bought Loomis, I've stopped buying their rods. I paid for G. Loomis because they were, well, G. Loomis, and made in the U.S.A. Local jobs. I still love and fish a 15 year old GL3 8200 popper rod. It's my favorite finesse baitcasting rod. To me, Shimano rods have always been overpriced,...

Re: Poppers vs"walk the dog" stick baits
You can do both with a short, fat popper, like the unpainted cranks Predator Baits sells. Scroll down to the Megabass Popmax popper knockoff. It will walk almost in place with small twitches, pop and shoot out water on a hard pull, and casts like a bullet. http://www.predatorbassbaits.com/id69.html...

Re: what rod are u using for whopper plopper
You can use any swimbait rod that's rated for the same weight. Both lures have trebles, so your swimbait setup, which can get a treble hook into a fish, will work with the Whopper Plopper. They cast like a bullet, so you can get bit a long way from the boat. Depending on the line you use, you may no...
