I've had Versus boxes so warped the edges won't close flat and they randomly pop open...

Plano boxes for me were just a waste of time. I'm finding that some "safe" will plastics are affecting the plastic of the box itself....

Can't win...

Take a picture of the subject, and screenshot the picture itself, crop it to the picture you want to post (cut out any unnecessary background).

There are small ZMan proof tackle boxes available. Lets you keep ZMan and other plastics in the same box and separated from each other. Those Moncross boxes are proof that ZMans aren't kryptonite to all plastics... Plano and Versus boxes taco badly... Other soft plastics - may as well be a congeale...

Wouldn't be that strong as to stop line being pulled through - more of a inconvenience...

When I was FIFO from Townsville to Gold Coast I couldn't take spools or even electrical tape off site on carry on and that was 2009...

Just last year from GC to NZ we couldn't take spools on carry on either.

Here is what you do.........pull off about 20ft more line than what you expect to cast when you add a little zip to your casting motion.........then put about a 2" piece of electrical tape on the spool........wind the line back on........you should not have this issue again.

Someone should build a guage force machine to test the "fluidity" of the wind of these reels, shouldn't be too hard for someone with access to the right jig and tools.

What everyone feels is so easily subject to individual and build of each reel.

Do you remember the Chronarch 150 Ci4+ it had the MGL (Magnumlite 7075A) spool... That spools edges that just mysteriously vanished...
Case in point.

MGL no go with salt... Change the spool out to the Curado K and your OK.

May as well buy the K itself, casts down to 5 gr easily with a good service and light spool shaft polish.
