Wow, some nice stuff there, and expensive, lol. Really like that custom 110 in what looks like a perch color.

Re: huddleston grass minnow

I have a few, they are great little baits although I seem to do better on the Hudd Weedless shad. If you havent tried the weedless shad you should get some... As far as the grass minnow I fish it with a medium retrieve and twitch my rod tip from time to time (like you may fish a fluke). Twitching th...

Re: Mattlures Deadtwitch swimbait

That bait looks amazing, I wish there was some video up somewhere that shows the action. All I have seen is pictures. I was strongly considering buying one but the heaviest rod I have is a Dobyns 807 and I cant justify buying a new rod right now.

Re: USPS broken rod

Thanks guys. Hopefully this isn't as big of a nightmare as I thought it would be, but its not looking so good. I tried to submit my claim online but when I entered the tracking number it said I had to bring it into a store or mail out the claim. I decided to mail in the claim form and attached the e...

USPS broken rod

Well I just sold a rod via flea bay and shipped the rod in a PVC tube. Just got notified that the rod showed up broken, buyer said the pvc tube was bent in half and they had put tape over the bent spot to reinforce it.... I DID ship it insured but have spoke with a few people that say USPS never pay...

Re: storing paddle tails

I keep a few in my tackle box and havent had any problem with tail bending yet. I know for larger swimbaits you can fix a bent tail by dipping the bent part in some boiling water for 30 sec and letting it hang dry by the head. You can probably do this with the smaller paddletails also??

Re: How good of a cranking reel is the Revo Winch?

Definitely a good cranking reel, but what do you guys think about using it as a swimbait reel? Little off topic... just curious I have a couple that I use for paddle tail swimbaits like the basstrix minnows. Its great when you really want to slow down your retrieve. I've also used it for larger swi...

Re: best rods for fishing from a yak or canoe due to length!

I have a kayak and a boat. When I go in my kayak I usually use dobyns 6'8" rods and kistler 6'9" rods. The length seems more manageable than rods 7' and longer. Also, both those brands have shorter than average handle lengths. I found that some other brands with longer handles would dig in...

Re: REVO shop question

if you're brave, you can use a set of pliers and bend the arms of the star drag back to clear the handle...that's what i did on my daiwa sol when i put a swept handle from a zillion on it. the drag star on the 2G winch looks like it would bend easily. Lol, I actually thought about doing that but de...
