Re: Evergreen International Dire Wolf Wild 7

I don't like how Evergreen is nowdays making more and more heavy rods... Yes it can be phenomenal well balanced but at the end of the day the weight its there. I see how for instance hybrid rods as xtreme cranking rods from shimano&jackall are ultralight rods being also powerful and lengthy. Obvious...

Re: 2.5Oz swimbait reel

Side note both platforms I mentioned I would not hesitate to even go in the 4 oz plus mark ... I'm sure I've thrown heavier on my Ryoga. I am not one who subscribes to the theory reels have limits as to what they can cast. They are in freespool during a cast, so there is no stress on internals. The...

Re: Evergreen International Dire Wolf Wild 7

What are the differences between the RS and GT models? I'm looking at the Cougar Elite GT (Full length grip). Is one essentially for moving baits, the other for bottom contact? GT-R model if I'm not wrong according to de website transalation is more flexible rod which is better with treble hooks an...

Re: 2.5Oz swimbait reel

As mentioned, definitely don't get the Steez HLC. It's designed for bombing compact lures from 1/2-2oz (for which I like it quite a bit), but it'll give you headaches with bigger, helicoptering lures or on shorter casts. I run a morethan on my small glidebait setup - Gantarel Jr, 6" trash fish, 168...

Re: 2.5Oz swimbait reel

Depending on the manufacturer you choose, #18 fluoro can still be pretty thick. I'd be concerned with capacity on a 100 sized reel. I think a 150 or so would be a better choice with something like the Bantam MGL. Came on Carl Let me know in your opinion which one of those would be better option acc...

2.5Oz swimbait reel

Hello Sirs, I'm looking for a nice Swimbait reel for my second swimbait setup. I'd like to say that line capacity is'nt so important for me as average swimbaiter user. I don't need to do long casts just because I'll use it in a system river and I will use 18lb fluoro. The intended ranger lure will b...

Thanks so much for sharing! That is quite the description. I definitely want the RS!
Why will you choose RS intead of GT ? Just curious

I prefer the looking of RS but according to the review ( if translation its ok ) The GT suits better for my intended purpose.

Re: 21' Calcutta Conquest 100 vs 200

I've recieved today my 21 Conquest 101 HG and I'm a little bit worried about it. It seems to be a little bit noisy when retrieving but when I touch levelwing the sound disappear... It's my first Conquest but speaking with friends who have the older model it doens't be normal... I'll try to post a qu...

Re: New Zillion - How well does it skip??

I just tried my Steez Sv limited with SV BOOST spool this past week and by the way I was experimenting more dificulties in terms of skipping... The reel is awesome and looks impressive but I think the normal SV are better in terms of skipping... Maybe I need more time with it in the water but these ...

Re: 2021 Shimano Reels

Does Anyone know if new Antares 21Dc has drag alarm?

Would be it good for mid-swimbaits?

Thanks

Re: Zillion sv TW 1000

Hi Sirs, I'm looking to match a good reel for my jerkbait rod ( burrough 68M ) and I don't know which one to choose... my two options are new Zillion or new alphas SV... the main weight of my jerkbaits are mainly 1/2 and 3/8 oz so...

Which one would you choose?

Many thanks in advance.
