Re: buying bearings in bulk

Thanks for the tips. I realize that on the whole Chinese bearings should generally be inferior to japanese bearings. I actually ordered abec 5 zz stainless for less than a buck a bearing. Minimal investment and I can try, if they work good I can order more. I always test all bearings for smoothness...

Re: What's REALLY next for Daiwa

80mm handles have their advantages. You can reel faster, for one. I like them for finesse stuff. I agree. I like long handles (90-100mm+) for fishing with big baits that move a lot of water, e.g. spinnerbaits for pike/musky, but for more finesse presentations I like smaller handles. Smaller handles...

Re: BFS and Trout baitcast combos

Yes, action is accurately rated and they are fun to use. I use them for big perch. A couple of years ago, I looked far and wide for the XUL, which - as you know - is (was) supposed to be regular action. Now I consider going custom unless this thread or TT reveals a gem :D

Aliexpress is the pl...

Well the millionaire is a 34mm spool so the spacers should fit all current steez reels, tdz, t3 etc
You are making me a little excited here...
