Re: New Ideas (Wobble Head)
I've always wondered how much money would actually be in it. I too have seen tons of my ideas show up in the market from reels to baits. And outside. I had applied for a patent nearly 20 years ago for led valve stems and washer nozzles. My lawyer sold me out. I was 19 was referred a lawyer by someo...

Re: DC baitcasting reel?!?
I love the slow retrieve of my Calcutta te dc. It was a gift for leadering and gaffing an IGFA bluefin tuna and is my primary spinnerbait reel. (i throw mainly colorado blade baits at night) I'm a better fishermen using that reel than faster reels at night. Snapping the handle on the low gear gives ...

Re: Steel SV TW vs Aldebaran 50 HG for a MBR783c?
Have the steez but only have the alde bfs
Steez is much lighter on the retrieve. Handle turns easier and it's silent. Aldebaren has that metanium raspy sound. And feels just a tad sluggish.
The steez in terms of out of the box all around spool up and fish. Is one of the best ever made.

Re: Rapala X Rap
if you want built in action. Go husky jerk, or ul minnow. Xraps don't bring much of a built in wiggle regardless of size. probably the most subtle lipped rapala they've ever made on a straight retrieve. I'll add...i never fished or used the 04...so it may be different. tough to tell but it looks lik...

Re: Which Stella FI for all around?
Honestly. I wouldn't even go stella. EEEEKKKKK I know. But I have enjoyed my limited time fishing teh exsence 3000 m more than I have the stella FI 3000 xg. I despise fast spinning reels for fw. As it's only good for buzzing drop shots back to the boat quickly. On top of that. When comparing the ste...

Re: The ultimate best combos for the following techniques
For the 3/8 to half ounce spinnerbaits...... I don't know if a better rod has been made than the 7'1 cumulous. It's perfect. I used to think the butt was a hair too short but after fishing some other similar sticks.....nope...perfection. Pair it with a 6.3:1 steez sv tws. Or a conquest dc... I have...

Re: Concept Z initial impressions. Did I expect too much?
So after getting tons of feedback on this reel. And hearing that some guys had reels that were quiet and some that were chattery on the cast. It really was interesting to see how even of a split it was. I did a few simple experiments. I pulled the line off the reel. Which consisted of 40lb braid ba...

Re: Curado K gears
Well my Shimano order showed up today and instead of two Brass drive gears I received two nice, possibly Tranx double paddle handles with the pick slip and packing slip both labeled Drive Gear, bummer! I was hoping to try the conversion out this weekend, Oh well I will call customer service again M...
