They used to be very popular 4~5 years ago.
I agree, the hooks aren't that tough. But the design is quite good.

He also designs baits for popeye's but there made by bait breath for popeyes. I love the Move 2.5 and 3.5s. My favorite jig trailer for smaller jigs. Tell him hi for me too, I'm a big fan ;) I've got lot's of things in common, half japanese, over 6 feet, love sight fishing, etc. Looks like he's in ...

if I had $250 to burn on a spinning reel, I'd get the new Daiwa Luvias 2506.

Re: Evergreen/Shimano "Partnership"
I think KJProFishing pretty much expained why EG seems to have connections with Shimano. I'd like to also add, the guys from Kansai seem to prefer Shimano over Daiwa (not always, but seems to be common). And EG is a Kansai company. KJProFishing, I didn't know Imakatsu lures were made in the same fac...

Yup, in the right conditions this lure can catch some good fish. I personally think it works better in colder seasons (when comparing to other lures). Maybe Zander should give it another try once it cools down.

I hope Daiwa comes out with the Super Finesse Tuning Spool kit like they used to have for the previous generation Luvias.

Re: Daiwa listens to its clients!
Looks like the Luvius is getting a REAL4 upgrade. The 2500 size is 220g so this new material is heavier than Mg??? The ZAION material looks promising though. Here's some better pics > http://sea.ap.teacup.com/seabasshunter/276.html You ask for it, Daiwa builds it. What a company! 8-) I (and MANY oth...

Nope, very different from the Curado. Quite a bit smaller.deepsessions wrote:Metanium Mg7-haven't held one but it looks to be the same as the Curado frame which sits a little higher.

Re: Why Can't Plastic be made Good Enough?
Where have you been? There are plenty of diehard Daiwa fans here that don't have any problems with plastic sideplates. I personally like Shimano, but not just because they make all metal reels (except a few smaller parts).RojoKayako wrote:Why can't we do the same for fishing reels?

Re: looking for a low profile reel for pitching 20lb Flouro
I didn't read through the other replies, but did you consider the Core/Mg7? I've got the Mg7, and it's my favorite for pitching. If you're worried about the drag slipping when you set the hook, the Mg7 can lock down the drag pretty well.

I would guess it's something like new, mint, and used?
This is not something that everyone on Yahoo! JP does. They usually explain the condition in text.
