I answered my own question by removing the spool shaft bearing on a CNQ50 just to see if they sent me the correct bearing. It is the correct bearing for a genuine CNQ50 spool but it will not work with an Avail CNQ50 spool because the area on the spool shaft that the bearing rides on is a different d...

I just installed the Air BFS Bearing on the spool shaft and it's not snug on the shaft at all. This is an Avail spool btw. The inner race moves freely side to side on the shaft. Is it supposed to be like this?

I guess the customs fee might be an issue but I have never paid customs fees and I have bought close to 20 reels from Japan.

Right now, I am happy with a Loomis CR721 / XT1000/Yumeya spool, 10# Sniper FC and an unweighted Zoom Finesse Worm. I just ordered an Avail spool from Japan Tackle for a Conquest 50 to throw hard baits but I don't have a rod for that yet.

I hate to be a downer but the knobs gotta go! I love the reel but the knob caps look like shiite! When I get one, I will be putting Power Grip II's on it with XT1000 knob caps.
