I would go for a rod that can cast long distance for topwater application yet still stiff enough on the tip to drive the hook into fish's mouth , IMX
is a good choise in my pinion .

Re: Daiwa Zillion Owners Question
Guys , I tried the Zillion HL which is on loan to me from the local Daiwa agent , it does make whining noise when cast forcefully but I am not being bothered with the noise because my DC reels whine too but in different tune . Guys ,
Except the spool with new lip , I am not sure if the reel is completely new at all because my SR2000SDH has already all that " Rigid Support Drag " features .

Re: hrmm... here comes the new Stella...
Taller spool is always a good thing. How are they going to designate the new version? Thanks. That taller spool has " S " behind the Zero lettering on the spool , that means shallow spool version . From this I think this reel is not the new big Stella ( SW/FA ) model . Myself own a SR2000SDH ( Shal...

I don't about you guys but to me that spool looks like " shallow " spool from casting tournament reel which can't be used for fishing as it hasn't got any drag .
The example of this type of reels are : Super Aero reels from Shimano .

May be personal but 101DC is smaller and sit lower on the rod , that is why I bought DC7L which sit lower too .

Pin ,
DC technology makes me a better caster . I have 201DC , 101DC and DC7L , my favourite is still 101DC but that may change after I get used to DC7L .

Re: Q: Conquest DC & line Snapping?
shtuka ,
The Varivas I am referring to is AVANI Casting PE , manufactured by Morris Co. Ltd - Japan .
Tufline XP tend to get sticky and won't flow well hence not an ideal line for baitcaster , however it is OK for spinning .
