Re: xship vs air rotate

yeah its a shame offdahook you have to keep doing this, there are a lot of helpful people on this forum who would really help you out on these sort of questions if you would stop the manner in which you post your topics.

Re: 7' vs 7'6 - Distance Difference?

yeah i agree with mattman on the wind and lure that is being thrown. say you were thowing a bandit that is unweighted for the most part compared to a megabass bait or something that has a better casting system you will see the difference. i had a dobyns 705 and a 764 rm cranking rods last year with ...

Re: Megabass Orochi XX do it all or most?

i have the xx spinnerbait special, and the xx extreme mission type f. I have found those two rods to be very versatile. The spinnerbait special has surprised me i have thrown spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, small jigs and t rigs, senkos , and some small swimbaits like the swing impacts. The rod handled ...

Re: Crainkbait/Topwater Rod Poll

i have used the crucial and the dobyns 704 cb and prefer the dobyns for the lighter cranks it shines with 3/8 oz cranks and topwaters. I have also used it to throw vision 110s which are 1/2 oz and it handles them fine as well. Makes a good rico rod as well even with the the 1/4 ricos. i like the cru...

Re: New GLX vs old GLX MBR842C and SJR782??

the new glxs def have a softer tip than the old glx models i have noticed while using some of them. I had the new glx 854 and 853 and both of their tips where more soft than the older model glx rods

Re: i curado VS tatula

yeah i was curious about the drag myself. i caught some good ones today on the cu i and was impressed the way it pretty much manhandled the fish. in my hands the new curado is more smooth than my ci4 chronarch, well we will call it close haha.

Re: How light can the core throw?

yeah i would choose not to throw those weights on the 743. like mentioned above i would go with the 2 power, havent fished a 1 power but can only imagine it would handle lighter weights as well. i would usually throw down to 1/4 just fine with the core stock. i have thrown 3/16 with it stock but spi...

Re: Spinning reels: high end versus lower end

thats what i had found as well i used to have some abu soron spinning reels then went to shimano and only thing i saw the shimano did cast a bit further than the abu with the same weights, rod, and line. i have also had the stradic fj before and it didnt really blow me away, but it was tough as nail...

Re: Do you really need a Frog Rod for frogs?

yeah i wouldnt buy into the frog rod concept so much because there are a lot of good options. i usually let the cover dictate the rod i use. i have used dx 745 and dobyns champ 734 in more moderate cover and have never had a problem. i really like the 734 in open water because it has a nice tip for ...

Re: Curado 200i pics next to Ch/Met 100 Platform

i agree with buster i really like the aluminum feel and i can tell it is going to be a strong reel i didnt catch anything on it today just casted around but i really like it. I like how the lines flow on my ci4 chronarch better but thats just a cosmetic thing the curado looks great i just dont like ...

Re: Curad I

there was an actual shimano rep there today so he was pretty helpful this time lol. Like you guys are saying i have had numerous encounters with the ones that know nothing it seems they are paid to be there i guess. Overall i really like the curado though seems like it is going to be a good one for ...

Curad I

hey guys just picked up the I today at bass pro. The bass pro in sevierville TN had around 10 of them might still be some there if anyone is close by. Everyone seemed to be jumping on the ugly stick train this morning and by passed the curados. They let me do a reel trade in which was unexpected bec...
