great combo have had mine for a week now and love it. it has turned out to be a very versatile rod from what i imagined from first handling it to actually getting to fish with it.

the new glxs def have a softer tip than the old glx models i have noticed while using some of them. I had the new glx 854 and 853 and both of their tips where more soft than the older model glx rods
