Re: Megabass fmj vs valdiva
Sorry all the lakes I used the FMJ had soft mudd bottoms so never tested sensitivity for FMJ. I'll try to test it once lakes are thawed out. Yes its April 8 and still froze here.

Re: Megabass fmj vs valdiva
Valdiva is 7'6 so it's not a short rod either. I don't have that rod but I do have the FMJ and XXPP. The power is similar but the XXPP has a softer tip. If you want to pitch in tight quarters the FMJ would do handle it nicely. I don't pitch in tight quarters but I use my FMJ on 1/2oz Trig into milfo...

Re: Random pics
PLEASE PLEASE tell me how you like the BE in the Steez Ltd? I was looking for one in such shape as yours appears to be but I settled on the 1010 spool. I think a man should own one BE in his lifetime, they are certainly expensive but I hear they are worth it.. Anyways nothing says limited like a re...

Re: Speed spool bearings
Alibaba bearings. Facebook noobs pushing these junk hard especially some of the Shimano guys. Buy a premium reel and add trash bearings in them.
Oh well, no oil free spin bearings makes them happy.

USA Destroyer Oneten Special rod
Can anyone explain the characteristics of this rod like power, tape, working a lure, and on load? I already have a jerkbait rod but from handling one time at a shop I feel the rod can do much more. Anyone else has this rod and use it for something else?

Yeah I was saying it reminds me a bit of the 853c, just a bit blank wise.

Re: megabass destroyer Daemos
Probably one of my most used rods last year. I use it for 3/16 - 3/8 + worm Texas rig in no cover to moderate cover. It's light at 4.3oz, crisp, and nice ergonomics. It's the rod missing from the JDM line I've been after in terms of length, power, and taper.

Re: megabass destroyer Daemos
I am really interested in this rod, but I'm really trying to see a picture of the balance point of this rod with a sub 6 ounce reel mounted on it? I'm very particular about the balance point and the FMJ that I have with a steez mounted on it is slightly tip heavy, mind you it is an INCREDIBLE rod a...

Re: First look at Megabass Destroyer USA rods
I've tried 1oz 20ft diving cranks on the Javelin and the rod handles it just fine. I feel it's half power beefier than Nautilus when on load.

Re: megabass destroyer Daemos
Daemos is definitely faster than Javeline. I use my Daemos for 3/16 - 3/8 texas rig around moderate to no cover.Tigerbass wrote:From what I gather the Daemos is a little faster than the Javelin???

Slack line sensitivity flouro > braid and it's not even close. As someone who throws a lot of weightless senkos pre summer it was night and day after I made the switch years ago.

Re: Is 1/8th ounce considered bfs?
Punish? I don't know about that. With the right reel and rod it's an absolute blast casting lures under 1/4. Back to the subject. The Concept of BFS originated as using baitcasters to cast lighter than average lures where's there's an advantage over spinning reels. Example pitching into tight quarte...
