It was hard for me to find a replacement for the discontinued gold 3/4 buddies but the Binsky fit the bill. Better vibe and nothing catches them in the NE when the water dips under 45 and lower.

I personally like the original smoke vs the new Crystal. It just feels like you're using a rope with that new color. Lab test may prove me wrong by visually, it's the the color of Dental floss in the water

Most of the saltwater species are so aggressive I think you're better off with a cheapo swimbait like Storms. No reason to toss a $30-$70 lure to have it snap off or bitten in half.
