Re: P5 Kasumi Six Eleven for small cranks
So I got out yesterday but the water temps have jumped to 46-50* and the bass are already chewing the RkCrawler 55 so that was what I threw primarily. Didn't toss any of my Megabass cranks at all.

Re: Finesse baitcaster under 220ish
All, I've been hunting for an Alphas CTSV in left hand for awhile but it seems the lefties require a steep premium. Is there a reel, JDM or USDM that rocks for baits in the 1/8th to 1/4 oz range for under 220? Or possibly a cheaper reel that can be upgraded readily with a shallower and lighter weig...

Re: P5 Kasumi Six Eleven for small cranks
I just picked up this rod for exactly this purpose, but unfortunately I have not had a chance to use it yet. My plan is to throw the IXI Shads and Z2s with it in the next few weeks. I don't have any of the Z3s so I wouldn't be any help there. Any chance to use it yet? Buy a Z3 in Green Craw and tes...

Re: P5 Kasumi Six Eleven for small cranks
Been throwing the IXI shads and Z1/Z2/Z3 on my Adrena 67BFS - perfect, but I want a second rod with a little more length. Anyone have the Kasumi 611 for small cranks? The Z3 pulls a bit, wondering if the F2.5 slow taper is too soft. Any other suggestions welcome. I just picked up this rod for exact...

Re: Daiwa Steez A 100
Is this a new reel or just the JDM Steez A II brought over to the US market?

Re: What line do you crank with?
I use 10 to 20# braid, depending on the size of the crankbait. Most times, I tie directly with no leader. Ive fished side-by-side with guys that were using flouro or mono and I've not been significantly out-fished, except for once, where the guy was just a better fisherman than me.  ...

Re: 2021 steez ags rods
Can anyone compare the tip of the 76MML to the 71ML as well as the overall power in the blank? I own the 76MML and I'm looking to pick up something a little shorter and lighter powered overall to use primarily as a drop shot rod. The 71ML looks like the perfect option, but I'm hoping the tip is a li...

Re: Good Tackle Thread (overlooked products)
Gilly 110, Savage Gear 5" 3D Bluegill slow sink and Cover Craw. These all fly under the radar or people don't like them. I'm sure about 80% of Cover Craw users fail to realize it's a Fat Ika like back gliding bait and just treat it like a craw. The Gilly is awesome but people keep rigging it wrong ...

Re: Zodias vs. Expride B
If you have an Expride already, you'll probably be disappointed with the Zodias. Zodias is cheaper but also slightly heavier, not as sensitive and not as crisp in the hands. Every time i tried a Zodias rod, I always ended up getting rid of it. Just stick with the Expride or move up to the Poison ad...

Looks like that 6'10" L could make for an excellent light drop shot rod.

Re: What shad lure are throwing besides a shad rap?
I'm getting waaay ahead of myself here...but does anyone have any experience using the MB P5 Z-Crank Elseil with these smaller 1/4-3/8 oz cranks? I agree that you are getting a bit ahead of yourself but since there is a similar topic on the BBC Rods & Reels Forum about these types of light jerkbait...

Zodias vs. Expride B
Do these rods use the same blanks or blank materials at least with the primary differences being the handle and guides used? I did a little searching around, but didn't come up with a definitive answer. According to the Shimano Japan site they use the same blank technology for the most part. Any com...

Re: What shad lure are throwing besides a shad rap?
So you prefer to throw these little cranks on L BFS rods as opposed to ML? Do you ever feel underpowered on the deeper diving models? Also, how do you like the Z1 and Z2 cranks and when would you choose them over the IxI Shads? I was looking into those as well. I think it depends on the taper - a g...
