Its too stiff imo. i use mine for swimbaits, spinnerbaits, and texas rig senkos.

i hear a few more are coming...

Get the shorter rod if you want to throw jerkbaits and topwater.

i tried the 842c for jerkbaits and i found the handle too long. i much prefer my 610m and 610ml for jerkbaits.

so light the 893 is fine depending on cover.

who has used the 7'3 med hvy model. im looking for a spinnerbait, swim jig, and keitech rod with 1/4 oz heads -1/2 oz. would this rod fit the bill for single hook reaction baits? i noticed it is a mod fast instead of fast taper. would be perfect imo. its mod fast rating but imo fishes closer to fast.

much prefer the 873c, love the power loads lower. perfect for trigs 1/2 oz.
