Re: Gomexus handle nut
No issues, I have 9 reels with 100mm alloy gomexus handles. Just use the supplied shims to go behind handle to take out any handle slop. This is especially important on Daiwa reels that use the screw instead of a nut such as ryoga, steez etc. the 8x5 handles come with left and right hand nut and a s...

I like it. It's on my wish list. Have a regular 21 zillion G, a HD and silverwolf. The SS Air will also be on that wishlist

Re: Do you plan on buying the iPhone of reels aka the Z Limitbreaker?
no need any kind of stats tracking crap. It is interesting that we can be so different. I would love to get stat tracking in every one of my reels. I never went for a DC reel before as normal brakes were working just fine. On the other hand I would love to analyze my fishing sessions. In the future...

Re: Do you plan on buying the iPhone of reels aka the Z Limitbreaker?
No. There is no point in having a reel that you cannot unlock its full potential without the App that will only work in Japan. The reel comes locked in Standard cast mode and requires registration with the APP to unlock the other cast modes. It is stated in the specs the APP is not supported outside...

Re: Daiwa SS Air TW
Neat reel but that mag dial can't be adjusted while palming. You will have to flip the reel over to make adjustments. It also looks like something I would see on an Aliexpress reel. I'm guessing they went with this arrangement to allow for more room to accommodate the SV Boost Air spool. Hurry up a...

Re: Older bfs reels vs modern bfs reels?
Pixy with a rays/DIY spool is as good as any of the newer reels, and so much fun to modify and go full pixzilla. with use of alphas sv parts there is many ways to modify it.
Re: Ryoga
If it is out right strength you want the OG is the beefier stronger reel. Bigger bearings, Bigger main shaft, Stronger gears, and better locking system for the side plate (screw on vs quick release lever). The 1016 only had a 80mm handle and 90mm handle on the 2020 but that's easily changed.

Re: What do you want to see from Daiwa?
A new 200 size baitcaster that isn't based off a f#$@%^g Tatula. slightly wider version of the new zillion frame with free floating spool and secondary antireverse for heavy duty work. As is seems like the 2018 Zillion HD and HLC are being discontinued, they are hard to find on the jdm stores. Also ...

Re: Daiwa silver wolf
I'd like to know how it does with light fluorocarbon. Would prefer a 7 ratio also. unless you are going very light. 8lb or less you will run out of capacity. my spool took roughly 75metres of 10lb sufix 832 braid. not sure how much 20lb fitted but was able to cast it all on a M rod cast 1/2oz vibe.

Re: Steez A II Tws
Disappointed that it doesn't come in 5.3 this time around. Jeff My thoughts exactly. Yup. Maybe it's compatible with the 5.3 gears ,😁 they haven't changed the frame so the old gear will fit but hard to get hold of as daiwa japan will not sell gears for magseal reels. an alternative gear set is the ...

Re: Steez A II Tws
The Zillion HD spool casted different in a Zillion 1000 than it did in the Zillion HD? It did, I think because what seems like a stronger braking profile in the HD. The spool definitely feels a bit more free in the standard Zillions but not wild like some of the reports I’ve seen from the Steez HLC...

Re: Daiwa silver wolf
I have one and have put it to use for BFS duties. The spool is shallow with similar capacity to a rays 34mm BFS spool. I have also slowed it down with JDM zillion 6.3:1 gears as 8.5 is way to fast for what I want and lacks torque. Added a set of hedgehog BFS bearings and that spool becomes quite fas...
