I'm glad the rod is working out for you, they are awesome blanks. Heck I'm still using a couple of the old green Leggend Elites full time, they have to be pushing 10 years old.

Another vote for PVC, you can use the grey pvc which is lighter in weight but still a lot stronger than cardboard. I swear they must do midnight jousting or javelin throwing with some of the tubes I get.

The recoils aren't bad guides if you don't mind the noise on retrieve lol. They make great hook keepers.
