If you open the side hatch cover, there's a peg that goes into a slot on the frame to align the hatch cover. There's a rubber O-ring on that peg that serves as a buffer. The size and weight of the Curado 50E reel makes for a great anything stickbait reel. I'm gonna use mine for some walleye and crappie fishing this spring season.

I don't have any major complaints about the reel. Just a few odd things or quirks to it. Slight off color two tone paint. Slight movement to hatch cover, due to rubber ring thingy. I'm going to be running 20# Sufix 832 braid on it for this coming season.

I will eventually get around to using some 10# 832 braid on a spinning reel. Still haven't use the 20# and 30# on the baitcasting reels.
