Re: jig rod suggestions
Haha now that's funny! ;) I too like the Recons, but for the jigs and such I like the 764 and for the blades, especially heavier like 1/2-3/4 I would go with the 715! I've been putting the M1s to the test HARD and seeing all their strengths and weakness with different techniques. So that's why I sai...

Re: jig rod suggestions
The Phenix M1 72H is what I use as well. Sometimes for the swim jig or chatter style bait I will use the M1 74MH.

Re: Phenix M1 Specs
LOL I figure your talking about the blank specs since you meant this for the custom rod thread. That's a very good question! LOL I hadn't even noticed that they weren't on there! Let me see if I can get our webmaster to take care of that this week.

Re: Phenix rod questions....
For reaction and big top water to 3/4 I would look at the X11 or if you want a little longer rod the X13. They are one of th best super spook rods I've used. And still work a jerkbait and other reaction baits like Blades extremely well.

Re: Classic Expo rods
It was great to meet you there. Phenix had a very successful classic and some great feedback on the rods. The guy with the MASSIVE swimbait collection is Mel Fai. He has over 3,000 swimbaits in his collection from all over the world!! It is enough to make anybody jealous as heck!! Next stop for me a...

Re: What is the most sensitive rod?
Fished a LOT of different rods. And so far the most sensitive BY FAR has to be a Custom Phenix K2. but since you said under $300.00, I would look at the Phenix Ultra MBX like mentioned above!

Re: trouble balancing a reel on a phenix umbx ?'s
I think I only have one 7'6" in the classic spinning rods. I never noticed a balance issue with that rod but it also has the only Diawa reel I own on it. I forget which one it is. It's about 4 years old and has a dark blue finish on it. All my other spinning rods have Shimano Ci4 2500s on them. They...

Take a look at the new Phenix M1 80MH blank. It has a perfect tip for Punching and still a lot of back bone.

Re: Question for the builders
Snow man, These guys are dead on. The Blank of course would be covered under warranty. But then you would be looking at a total rebuild. I think if you just check the blank Like was said to make sure no fractures and glue a new tip on you will be fine. Wouldn't notice the difference. In fact, Just t...
