Reel re-assembling
I was wondering if you guys have a trick to replace que drag nut properly on the handle shaft, its always like a hit and miss for me. Sometimes I need the remove the handle and adjust a few time before I eliminate the handle play. I tryed to count the number of thread left on the upper part before r...

Re: Met DC or... Steez SV TW
I think you could get better deal on the metaniumdc, but not regarding price I would choose the steez if it didnt have tw. Tryed the tatula tw and it was too large for my taste so I dont know if I would like this reel or not since they are not in the same league. Its probably a great reel, but you c...

I got both, 2 very nice reels for different application. If I had to choose only one reel I would go with the mgl since its more versatile.

I use the dx746, love it and not looking back, but that might be overkill for a frog rod if you are on a budget.

Re: Warning: Musky Combos
You can get away with it, but without a proper leader they will likely slice that #100 pp like butter if they get their tooth on it.Ifish585 wrote:Nice setup. Probably a dumb question considering you use heavy braided line but do the muskies ever rip you line ?
Our friend probably using a #100-130 fluoro leader
