Personaly I would pick a CQ100 HG or 200 for capacity and call it a day.

I got both, 2 very nice reels for different application. If I had to choose only one reel I would go with the mgl since its more versatile.

Nice post, but even tought it might improve casting to the moon I would never have this ugly plastic piece sit on my conquest.

I wrap a little teflon tape for plumbing and go strait braid for low capacity reel.

May I suggest you buy the normal met so you get to enjoy the HG better ?

I use the dx746, love it and not looking back, but that might be overkill for a frog rod if you are on a budget.

You can get away with it, but without a proper leader they will likely slice that #100 pp like butter if they get their tooth on it.
