I got a few Duo 80 this winter and im kinda curious to try them for walleye this year.

I wonder if the conquest & scorpion bfs have the exact same spool as the aldebaran ?

Was also looking forward to the new exsence, until I saw the price tag is comparable to the antares. At this price I might aswell pick an antares with mgl spool or go with another platform. Sick reel tought.

Hollow belly frogs are by far my favorite way to catch fish even do the hookup is not always great !

8 for 1 seems a bit off. Cant imagine a 350$ reel on a 50$ rod. If I had to build a descent combo with 400$ I would mostly split half-n-half. Minimum would be 100-150 rod.

I also got a Legend Inshore UL paired with a pixy and its a fun combo that I always use for trouting. I deceided to bring it in my last walleye/pike trip and landed a 14-15 pound pike with it, it was pretty awesome. I also use a alde bfs xg limited on a zodias ml, this year I just picked a new combo...

Install some HH air bfs bearings & and microcast spool should help, but most important use the appropriate rod that will load enought to trow efficiently that light stuff. Or, if you love the conquest platform, wait and aim for the bleacher with the new 17 Conquest BFS HG that is already on the wish...

My CQ200 is a bit noisy too. I guess theses open holes in the side plate doesnt help.
