Re: Surf fishing
Fine gimmick no gimmic it caught fish it don't matter it's discontinued. My point being tell them to make a halibut surf rod that is made of cs4 in 8-12 range. All carbon? That makes production more costly. Or your Gona force me to buy. $600 Japanese shimano rod.... :laugh1: :laugh1: :laugh1: not th...

Re: Curado D vs Curado E vs Curado G
Tackle tour needs to do a shoot out with the curados Shootouts between discontinued reels are pointless. If you actually read the reviews, we usually discuss the older model versus the newer one at the time of each review. I do read the reviews from time to time but the review I'm interested in is ...

Re: Surf fishing
Yes Erica is Eric's sisters by the way.... Hehe I agreed with you in most situations I don't think a longer rod is necessary to cast farther but I just like the idea of a longer rod. just feels good to me. But a longer rod does help since the energy is stored in the rod and less effort is needed in ...

Surf fishing
Batman Dan, Has shimano ever talked about building a California or west coast rod specifically for surf fihing halibut? The halibut surf fishing has been around in so cal for quite a bit now and everyone seems to gravitate to the clarus salmon rods. Those rods are to soft for my taste and for many m...

Tescata 8ml etc..
Are the original tescata rods parabolic like the Trevala rods?
If so can they handle a tuna?
I know they have a soft tip but does it have any backbone like a teramar?
Are they more like a teramar or a Trevala rod?

Daiwa Advantage HSTA is it hat good?
I'm curious as to how good this reel is.
Ive seen a lot of reels get posted on the forsake forums.
Plenty of zillions nd curados and cores. Calcutta, pixels..etc...
But is it me or there is hardly any daiwa advantage HSTA posted in the forum.
Is it that good of a reel?
